MY GUYYYYYY!!! I know this is 4 years old and I'm on Kontakt 7, but this helped IMMENSELY. I watched some other tutorials, some of which had me doing this MANUALLY. The batch function saved me sooooo much time and I got something that has taken me weeks to figure out, figured out halfway through this video! Before this I was loading an instance of Kontakt every time I wanted a different instrument 🤣💀 You're the man!!!

Now is the first time I installed Kontakt. And I thought that for each instrument in it, you have to add a Kontakt plugin. Not routed. But now I understand the idea and it's super cool. Thank you very much for explaining to me how the banks work in this crazy plugin.

I honestly wish Image Line would include a better way of automatically routing the outputs. Your video is super easy to follow, but trying to figure that out on your own is very very complicated. I wish FL would "detect" Kontakt and other library plugins as a multi instrument plugin and ask you how many tracks/outputs you want. Or a button within Kontakt that communicates with FL that says "Hey, the user has loaded X number of instruments, create a track channel for each instrument and send each one to its own mixer channel."
For now I suppose the best thing to do is make a project file that already has Kontakt with the midi outputs routed.

I can route and play each instrument separately. My problem is when i try to tweak some parameters in my preferred instrument in Kontakt while playing, the selection jumps from selected midi out channel to Kontakt in my channel rack and then starts playing the first instrument in Kontakt instead. Can anyone help here?

You was right about it the routing being whacky I had to reset plug-in few times and even forced to restart fl then wow it worked after re tweaking mannn this midi can get frustrating but when it works you feel like boss networker lol 😅 worked like a charm (resetting /restarts ) always first try
All the sounds are correct, but when the drum kit is added, it is added to all the sounds, I have to open a separate contact for the drum kit.

I doubt you'll see this quickly but I'm in a hurry of finding out why I have massive delay when I play a key on my keyboard, plus the sound is awesome, sometimes they don't seem to fully come through weirdly enough. Do you know why this is?
PS: Also the different instruments don't go to the next mixer tracks even though I selected auto map inputs, why is that?

Quick question. Does running one instance of Kontakt via the midi outs save on CPU as compared to running multiple instances of Kontact on separate midi channels. Thank you again for your tutorial
Yep, Kontakt is quite CPU heavy so less is better 😁

Very informative, thanks. Maybe you can help me with something. In Kontakt, how do I take a pattern in India played by Tabla drums into my DAW and or record it into my DAW. I can hit my midi keyboard and play the sounds of the Tabla, but I want the preset Tabla patterns to record to my DAW track?

When I press a key one my midi keyboard, I get the soundfont attached in the banks, even I have it set to none. It's very annoying and I did this as you were doing it in the video. What am I doing wrong?

I have Kontakt Player, and it comes with a default Pop drum kit. Is there a way to route each individual drum sound to a mixer track?

Bro the problem is at 0:41, unlike you, I have st.1, aux -1,2,3,4 and then unassigned. How to repair that?

Can someone please help me with this? I followed this video step by step to a T. Yet every time I try it, it still just plays multiple sounds at once. I'm incredibly discouraged by this software after blowing a few hundred dollars on all this shit.

Pretty sure that refers to Stero outputs, just leave it at 2 (left and right)
I've always left it at 2 and it's been fine
I've followed all the steps, even in almost all the video tutorials circulating about this routing on yt the method is not much different, but why does the midi keyboard conflict between instruments, bro, so every instrument in sequence 2-16 is played, the first one follow the sound. the illustration is like this bro. in the first order (top) use the violin, then in the 7th order there is the piano. Well, when the piano is played with a midi keyboard (midiplus minicontrol), the violin sounds too. any solution? I use fl studio 20 and kontakt 6
This is because of the Midi channels, So you'll need to set each instrument to a different midi channel and assign them accordingly in the Piano Roll.

@@MitchellBroom I rechecked and I found that MIDI out in channel rack should start from channel 2 and in kontakt which wrote MIDI Ch: [A] 1 in the first instrument should start from channel 2, etc, (MIDI Ch: [A] 2). I don't know about this case, Every one who make a video tutorial about this always start from ch 1 but for me that should start from ch 2, lol., :v

Hey man, after doing this I can't control dynamics with my controller anymore within the separate midi outs, is there a proper way to do that?
You'll need to assign CC outputs within the midi out plugin by pressing the cog icon next to the nobs
CC1 is modwheel
CC7 is volume
CC11 is expression
Hope this makes sense if not TH-cam search "FL studio midi plugin CC assign" or something similar 😊

For some reason, my Kontakt started linking all instruments to the same channel, even though it says they are all on separate channels, meaning one MIDI Out can play ALL instruments in my Kontakt, even though I clearly have them routed to separate channels. It has NEVER done this before, and for some reason, all of the sudden, it started doing this for no reason. I followed this tutorial thinking maybe I missed a step in routing my Kontakt, but I haven't. Any suggestions?
EDIT: I found the solution, thanks to another video! If any of your channels have the "+ Groups" text next to their MIDI Ch options, follow this tutorial: th-cam.com/video/zOwSmPF9UFM/w-d-xo.html
