FL Studio gets a lot of shade because people say its a "Kids toy DAW" but it can do so much that even other DAWs can't handle. Just because a tool can help shorten the amount of time spent on a project doesn't make it any less valuable, actually more valuable because time is money to a producer. So far FL has been able to handle anything I've thrown at it, from recording live instruments and vocals to modular racks and synthesizers and a combination thereof. It really is an amazing DAW.

There are rarely channels that provide tutorials with explanations that are so easy to understand. Most of them are senior or professional remixers, very lacking in sharing knowledge or explanation. Personally I think that randomizing velocity is not a good idea since it does sound natural, but it also sounds like an inexperienced piano player is playing
Yeah agree ! one must manually alter the vel. of notes, like in my case i just keep the lower notes at low volume and high at higher volume, this really gives the melody a better flow than just randomizing the velocities.

He probably wanted to keep everything diatonic, within the same key, in this case F major. I feel you though, the b-flat-minor-chord sounded dope at the end, but I can see why he would want to keep the harmonies more simplified for this example.
bro I had that same thought. I always write my chords that way. Gets even greater when you start doing your voicing and then add the melodies. Truly how you can make progressions that are unexpected.

Saw you had ur monitors on books. Yes it works as in a cost reduction but its not expensive to get either stands for them or even foambases to reduce vibration on the desk and getting the monitors to the right height at the same height as your ears. Then aim the monitors to point towards your ears creating a triangle of sound. To optimize the setup having a small acoustic panel behind you will reduce any echo.

tbh I would have left the minor chord. I love those not-standard chord progressions. They are not as boring
