This is so different than kickboxing...no head movement, seems like less boxing, more economy of movement...showmanship is a huge part...never knew. I really enjoyed the breakdown. Thank you
ive never been a fan of the clinch game because I never knew how it worked but after binging like mad, i am absolutely in love with the intricacies of it all. absolutely dominant and love the honesty in these commentaries about your shortcomings. love it love it
I admire your composure. Going into a such a sketch place. Nice to know the Thai people are genuinely excited to see foreign fighters come into their backyard. Respect.
Your commentaries are golden, so insightful and they put the viewer there...well, at least it puts me there. Such an intelligent fighter you are. Poised, with both technical superiority and with great ring generalship. When I return to Thailand for retirement after taking care of some business here in Denver, I'll try and see one of your fights. I have a new pair of Venum Deluxe 10 ounce gloves for you.
She's so telegraphic but hanging back allows better placement and power in her setup for kick...gotta walk in a little to move her balance some so as to stave off getting hurt in like situations. This could prove to be problematic in future happenstance...only saying...you're the champ. Practice the jab and hook a little...or, perhaps throw a sack of potatoes. 27:45 :))))
congrats on the win. the confidence and deliberate nature of your fighting style really showed in this fight. nice to see an elbow or two from you. if you could work in elbows with your knees in the clinch it could devastating
Loved this fight, well fought! Since i watch your videos i started working my clinch and knees and i really love this style of boxing. Thank you for all your content
Sylvie, these videos have been a revelation for me in this surreally beautiful world. One question comes to mind: why exactly is it that you’re fighting bigger opponents consistently? Are you just crushing 100 pounders and nobody would bet against you?
Very cool fight, it started out as an epic clinch battle but it became clear one side was much stronger. Also that was an awesome throw in round 5, looked like something from a movie fight scene where the hero throws a bad guy through a table.
Lmao, "when I was looking at her I was like ah she's not that big" (That moment when you realize that all of your other opponents have outweighed you by so much that this one isn't very intimidating because she doesn't outweigh you by as much, she just outweighs you by a trifling 20lbs)
Its pretty funny. in the US people would choke over that much of a difference. in Thai land its like " yeah your opponent is only double your size, you are good to fight her right?"
This is a great start, offering insight on what to look for. There are a few more articles on 8limbs.us you can do a search for 8limbs.us/muay-thai-thailand/balance-control-keys-muay-thai-scoring-tony-myers
Coach bobby taught me that hand on the head hand on the arm move. I think he stole it from u lmao. He said “It’s like one big steering wheel.” You step your front foot forward, circle the back leg back, and as you plant, that knee is loaded up already. very visible, knockout potential if you land it right in the body or face. One of my favorite strikes Ive learned so far. Everyones taller than me so it might be a good strategy.
your straight right to the body @ 16:34 is beautiful - and you can see her reaction to it on her face and it freezes her, I have been watching you for years and I think your body punching is one of your most dangerous and underrated weapons
Looks like she kicks really hard, I think she wore herself our eventually with those pauses and then you went in for the cinches and throws. Great stuff.
I've written and vlogged a lot about my every other day fasting and ketogenic diet. My husband Kevin put up this resource post on my forum. Your durability and power close range closed the deal but damn you have so much room for improvements. You lack those fakes and little weapons to get at close range. Your teep could be a great tool for this. You can also use punches and elbows to set up your knees. Anyway great match from both of you. Your channel is great, and you patreon even more.
Wow ! i really enjoyed watching your fight and listening to your commentry Sylvie ! but for maximum strength and energy please eat something but well done none the less
Thank you, I"m glad you enjoyed the video. As for the advice I have fought over 200 times, I have never felt stronger or more tireless in the ring than on this dietary approach.
Biggest thing in MMA is a excellent wrestling/ground game. I predict Tatianna Suarez will be the next champion because of her ground game check her out!! Would be cool to see you in MMA one day :)
This is hands down the best combat sports channel on TH-cam.
Thank you.
Agreed.
"Our uteruses will fall out if we go 10 mph" LOL
I think people back in like the 1960s used to say that about women running the marathon. That their uteruses would fall out. No joke.

Living in pattaya for a few months now, learning muay Khao style is difficult when you don't speak thai..
This breakdown helps alot 🙂
Just thankful I can see that on internet, genuinely a fun fight to watch, absolutely hilarious the time for women fights is different

What were the odds on that fight?
7:02, I have no idea why I love this little teep so much.
And 8:32, I worry I'm about to start a rabbit hole of timecodes for inconsequentially beautiful kicks.

Great fight Sylvie. Love the detail in the commentary, that you would easily miss otherwise. Well deserved win.
so much insight on fight narratives and scoring in thailand in this. awesome awesome watch

Always appreciate your Wai kru.

Awesome fight Sylvie! Really interesting fight style. Respect to skill of both fighters, also very insightful commentary. 👍
Very very enjoyable to watch and to listen to.

Good stuff. If you could commentate without the background noise it might be more palatable to the average viewer. Thanks for the insightful dialog.
damn, sylvie you, dont have throw the ref down too.
Hahaha

Got a question! How do you set up private and training sesión with Muay Thai coaches in Thailand?
your straight right to the body @ 16:34 is beautiful - and you can see her reaction to it on her face and it freezes her, I have been watching you for years and I think your body punching is one of your most dangerous and underrated weapons
i cant stop enjoying how massive that headset looks hahaha
yo this is mad cool, more of this!
Looks like she kicks really hard, I think she wore herself our eventually with those pauses and then you went in for the cinches and throws. Great stuff.
Why do you fast and fight while fasting? Does that give you edge?

Great fight!!! You did excellent 😀😀😀.

Inspiring. Thanks.
How come you fight against heavier opponents all the time?

Maybe the fasted training is working. You are looking more defined(maybe even fuller) in the biceps and calves.

Fact: you are 7 kilos heavier than I am and I am 11
Gangster
Whats the deal at the end of the fight where you go take a drink of water in the opponents corner?
Sometimes your cornerman will be an 8 year old kid XD
