You should definitely have your own gym and be a teacher somewhere down the road.... you have a real gift for talking about the sport and explaining techniques in an easy-to-understand way. I have never done Muay Thai and had little to no interest in it up until a few days ago.... Since then I’ve watched about a dozen of your videos and think it’s something that I’ll HAVE to do at some point in my life. Thank you for all your hard work Sylvie! Keep up the great work!

Your content. The extent of your content. The depth of the content. You two have done anyone lucky enough to come across your channels a great favor. I do not do muay thai but, have definitely learned from the elaborate conversations you've shared. Thank you for sharing.

Unless my intuition is off, there is quite the overlap between the "philosophy" - the mindset as well - between Muay Khao and Muay Maat. Not being annoyed by the tricky, elusive fighter, and being relentless with the pressure...

I got to practice more elbows...but i don't like to work my elbows on the bag, got to convince some dudes to try that guard hitting game.

So MMA legend Wanderlei Silva used a lot of Muay Khao in his PRIDE FC days... Guy`s style was just going forward in a brawler style in order to set up the clinch with his wild hooks then once he got his opponents into the clinch, he proceed to knee the s"$&t out of them non stop. Liked his style a lot.

Hi there, I've read about 4 types of fighters not 2 as you say in this topic. What about the Muay Mat and Muay Tae styles, are they both falling into the category Muay Khao in your division? This topic also brings me to the mother of all questions: is it a good practise to train one style? Saying this, remember for instance Bruce Lee who said: "be like water, my friend". I also remember a great Indonesian badminton player named Rudy Hartono, who was very good in reading the opponent, and be able to use the appropriate style to win the game, even if he needs much time (14 scores down) before he's found the right answer. Badminton in those days went to 15 winning scores within a game. He won the game with 15-14 after facing a 0-14 score.

This is what I've read about the 4 types:
The Muay Mat is an aggressive Muay Thai fighter who specializes in heavy punches and devastating low kicks.
The Muay Khao is known for the use of deadly knee strikes to devastate his opponents.
The Muay Tae fighter’s most dangerous weapon is his kick.
Instead of brute force and aggression, the Muay Femur uses all the weapons of Muay Thai with precise and well thought out technique.

Talking about 2 kinds of poetry does not at all imply there are not also various other forms of poetry.

Okay, thank you for the clarification. Muay Khao and Muay Femur are the opposite to each other, so it is interesting to emphasize this division, right? There are (many) other divisions possible in Muay Thai. A friend of my said about the boring matches between opposite styles because both, knowing the other so well, are mainly waiting for the other to make the first move, so the entire game is mainly passive, when compared to matches between 2 opponents of the same fighting style. Are you agree with this? I suppose not, because in your explanation the Muay Khao fighter uses his/her heart and spirit to "marching in" all the time, as rythmicall as he/she is, so he/she will be always the first to make a movement during the entire fight.

@@8limbsUs Muay Boran offered some pretty interesting things about styles actually and they did expound some things on how do they teach the younger generations before with their styles since they didnt have all these materials ready before so they used nature as their reference
Like how a Muay Mat acts like a Tiger with fast claw strikes and crippling opponents, a Muay Khao clinching and striking is like a Snake wrapping and biting, a Muay Te with kicks like an Elephant trunk, and A Muay Femui like a Monkey who tricks you and then slaps you some more
