- This is probably obvious if you collect the map percentage. You need the bat to access this one, first fly to the upper left side of the waterfall, press the switch and go back to the room where the wooden bridge is, there should be a Skeleton Ape there, lure it near the bridge and let it throw the flaming barrel and the bridge should be destroyed. Well, the segment of the castle that will be opened here isn't really important if the chapel's spike room is cleared with a simple trick.

man, whats up with the eye floatin outside the marble gallery? i have researched it, to no avail... also, the castle entrance trick (where you can get outside), is it really possible with alucard? srry for playin 20 questions, but i love castlevania SOTN. lol it has ALOT of mysteries to it.

u probably dont need help no more but you gotta go to the room where the other skeleton throws the explosive crate that unlocks the shield, then the other skeleton will start spawning in the area u said u didn’t see him at

@@jonathanj8270 was stuck on this part for the longest time as well, you need to go past the brige and jump to the other side of the waterfall. You will need double jump that you get on the roof tops underneath the stairwell to Dracula.

I picked up the game again and I made it to the inverted castle. I'm at this (inverted) part and there's another wooden bridge. I can't remember if its supposed to be there or if there's a way to break it. Any answers besides "go around?"
What about reversed castle? I can't break those
it's already broken for the reverse castle
@@MurakamiNight Yes. But there's an extremely rare glitch that can cause the wooden bridge to appear in the inverted caves. It has only happened to me once. I was running super fast as the wolf. Going to another screen and back again makes the bridge go away.
This just got me mad
I didn't finish the game for years because of that part. Imagine a child playing alone, until he realized that this skeleton appeared in the middle of the map, out of the field of view of the bridge area, having to drag him closer to the bridge. Although the game gives a 'tip' on how to break the bridge, I think this skeleton should appear right next to the bridge, and not in the middle of the map. In my opinion, this was the only flaw in the game, because if you don't break this bridge, you can get stuck in the game for a long time, and end up giving up playing.
Realise this without the internet in the early 2000s was not as simple as it seems

I honestly can't see what's hard to figure out about that "puzzle". If it were how to get Spike Breaker and / or Holy Glasses, that would be more understandable, but this, certainly isn't obscure to understand.
@@davidchez513 what I question is the position of the skeleton. It would be much more appropriate to position the skeleton right next to the bridge, to avoid this kind of problem. Because the map is huge, and if the player is not very attentive when this warning appears, he may not notice it. Without breaking that bridge, the game doesn't move forward. English is not my native language, this is another thing that makes this part difficult. I was a child when i played this game for the first time

@@kurt_femboyI did, just recently got it thanks to the vid. Honestly these were other years and designing was still new, this puzzle has lots of problems, not only the way to solve it, if I see it correctly the monkey doesn't spawn until you get to a certain area. I could be wrong, I just picked the game again after some time. Then as you said he is at the middle of the area very far from the wooden bridge with only one barrel and people usually kill things fast and go to the next area because it is a metroidvania 2d game. There are no other ways to get to that part, like a souls would, and things like a TNT or something of fire doesn't work, only the barrel, for what I read, I could be wrong. And after playing 2d Castlevania you learn to look for breakable walls to get to places like this. I will say though, that I'm 100% certain that a person with lots of experiences with retro games could have more chances to have an easy time with this puzzle.
Ps: I was right the fucker doesn't spawn right away, you have to reach other area first, then it is a the middle of the area xD. That's bad designing, this is nothing of a shame for a masterpiece as symphony of the night (first time playing it and already know it), is just how those times were, and all games have flaws. In Morrowind to reach a place you have to follow npc directions and If goes like "you know that mountain that looks big?, go around it until you see a bridge, go right, you will see a cave, well is the cave after that cave, go to the mouth of the cave but don't enter, look behind you, there is a cliff, jump when the sun sets, and now you have it, easy"
