Actually it's not all about the ranking of the university..... Technical University of Athens is "popular" among people,this is why everyone wants to get in there... AND THIS IS WHY IT IS DIFFICULT TO BE ACCEPTED.... As it is to any other highly ranked university.... Guys don't underestimate or overestimate other universities..... Everybody must see his/her interests, necessities etc to understand what he/she really needs to do at the university in his/her field according to the subjects, facilities and all this stuff...... Hi Maria, I'm starting my physics bachelor at ETH this fall and got one question: I see that you've been travelling a couple of times during the last years- but when do we effectively have some days off during the academic year? (I'm asking cause I'm trying to maintain my long distance relationship ^^)

You can check out here all of the holidays during the year: ethz.ch/services/de/news-und-veranstaltungen/akademischer-kalender.html Tbh you don’t get many holidays at ETH, it’s usually 2 weeks between the exams and the next semester (so 4 in total) and you also get 1-2 months before exams to study, but this is the Lernphase so not much free time. Whenever I travel during the semester I usually take off friday/monday to have a long weekend, but then I usually have to work/study a lot more in the upcoming days to catch up on the things I missed.

I got from the end of B1 to C1 in 4ish months by studying everyday while being in a non-german speaking country. From 0 to C1 would have been a lot harder but I’m sure you could achieve a lot :)
Hey ,this exam period is the worst ,at least for us at UNIWA.The professors are very demanding,we have homework and projects on every subject. On top of that you must take place on the exams through MSteams & eclass.I hope it goes better and easier for you 😫

hey! I think dorms are fun if you find one with the right people, and it would be a good opportunity to meet people and make friends but it’s hit or miss. Having your own apartment/studio is more expensive but you have your own space and you don’t have to share kitchen/bathroom/cleaning etc. really depends on what you’re looking for

How hard is it to get C1 level German in 6 months? 🤔
imo it’s impossible if you start from zero
In 6 months starting from 0 all u can get is A1. if you study everyday then MAAAYBE A2 but never more than that.
