This was recorded with "Intel" settings to offer a video with stable FPS rate, but it has as consequence those little graphic defects. Dialogue improvements will be published in the next (and final) version.
Resident Evil: Mortal Night is a free-to-play fan-made game. It's set in an alternate universe where no STARS members survived the mansion incident.
Before commenting, please take into account that the version of this video is completely obsolete. Dialogues are better now, and gameplay is MUCH better too. Consider this version as an alpha build.

If DLC existed back in the day, and this was available, it would be one of the most iconic games to ever come out for the PlayStation 1. But of course, there was no such thing as "Downloadable Content" in the 90's.

This game was already one of the most iconic ones (if I remember correctly, it sold 5 million back in 1998, and it was a record), but this would've been definitely a great extra in those days.

This looks amazing!!! I love the amount of zombies that can be seen in the screen. That’s how Capcom wanted it to be before they scraped the early build for Resident Evil 2 aka Resident Evil 1.5 this is amazing work !!

The story is so sad and so touching. It has a tragic ending, very innovative and special for an action game...a real masterpiece.

This is cool. It's almost like hunk in his very own resident evil game.
I feel confident in saying you have probably dedicated more time to the resident evil community than anyone. That includes those who have worked on the games.
This looks really nice, like a lot of effort put into it. Though, the thing that you wanted zombies to carry some of the important items makes the game even more hard, because you would have to kill and check each of them for items. Also, maybe could've cut down on the number of zombies here and there. Everything else - excellent work!

May have been asked. Have you looked into porting this to the Dreamcast? Sure you aware that the Dreamcast version is a PC port using similar files inbetween if not thats fine.

The mod is standalone, so you don't need any version of the original game. And yes, you have to extract the .rar files and then install the game, although you should wait for the final version, which is way better and comes out on 28th September.

this looks pretty awesome I must say but why is hunk the moralistic one? isn't he the guy who didn't bother to helpa fellow agent since it would interfere with his mission? also whats with the weird boxes all over the place?
His behavior will be changed in the final version. It takes a lot of work to place each item, and some items' 3D models don't even exist, so those boxes are the easy solution for everything.

@@moodyowlproductions4287 just saw your reply that adds ghost valie to the game if you ask me cuz you know whos supposed to be there but they arent. Makes the story and atmosphere more frightening. Cuz ya still might feel the dead characters presence knowing what ya know.
did you make this by actually modding the game or did you just take the background images/models and recode everything inside a different game engine?
I did mod the game, only using hexadecimal edition. It was a hell to make it, but it would have been a disaster otherwise.
They should give the MP5 the same sound effects as HUNK’s MP5 in the William birkin cutscene. That would be SO BADASS lol

Hey, my hat goes off to you. Not only in YOU being the creator of this fan based game, but playing it in a true survival horror based way in NOT setting up the infinite ammo like most of these garbage players do - yet they STILL get killed. (-_-)

Resevilnemesis30, will the infinite health cheat affects the game? I was unable to finish the very last step of episode 1 (v1.80) while the other 2 are alright. I really don't understand!
Definitely it affects episode 1 both v1.70 & v1.80 while the other 2 in both versions are ok with the cheat.

Yes, when you download the game, the infinite ammo code is in a file. You can also search for it on Google. And it cannot be played with a PSX controller, unless you can remap the controls. The download is in the description.
And A Feather Can not Play With Playstation One Control But How Can not Play With Control So I Will not Download It Because I Do not Know How To Play By Keyboard.
... The game is best without the dialogue. Otherwise the gameplay is fantastic. I like the Outbreak Characters... in Outbreak... but all of the Characters are really bad in this.... and this is based on a series with already B-Rated levels of dialogue.
Maybe be better with voices, but a lot of the characters act different. Maybe just parallel universe, as the STARS are all dead in this, and for some reason HUNK is both chatty and friendly... ehh.
Despite the 'fluff', the game is great. The lack of resources, the elements of conservation of items or using them in different situations. I like the two half key elements, it looked like from the video that you had a key tip that could be merged with one of two keys you had in inventory. Cool idea to make each route different through different playthroughs, if that is idea.
Removal of Herbs was interesting, though you added Vaccines and, as you had Outbreak chars, thought you were going to add Virus Gauge. Was disappointed that it was absent, but like ammo can not deny that I enjoy the lack of resources as a whole.
Any kind of G-Mutant is great. G-Virus generally underutilized in Resident Evil... only seen in its purest form in RE2 and parts of RE Outbreak, even then not too much. Knew RE Outbreak Scenarios planned to add scenario with G-Monsters, but didn't in final version. Glad you use them more. :)
Definitely subscribing, will download final version when it comes out. Despite gripes of fluff, game is great. You are going the right direction. Keep up the good work. :)
EDIT: Also noticed that the first weapon you get seems to be the Magnum. I like the idea, especially with lack of ammo. Can kill in one or two for zombies, but there are a lot of them in general. Good concept.

Sí, funciona solo. Pero ojo con las instrucciones, son muy importantes para poder aprovechar toda la experiencia. Si lo juegas con mala configuración quizás ni puedas guardar partida o tenga pérdidas importantes de FPS.
the mod is great, with more polishing could be a great mod like the modded yugioh forbidden memories 2, maybe you can extract the weapon models of parasite eve 2 and add it to your game, pe2 has great models overall, and improve the inventory too

The soundtrack video belongs to v1.00, so it is outdated. I'll post an updated version when the Definitive Edition of the game is released, since it's going to contain more new tracks.

btw, there is two things that i little complain :
why you dont use environtment from RE 3 ? its gonna be larger ....
why you dont use a push and evade skill from RE 3 ? perhaps it gonna easier ....
but, so far so good .......

I can't do any of those things because the game has its limitations, and only an original Capcom programmer could do so. And I'm not a Capcom employee, just a fan that hasn't even studied programmation.
ok i need some help with the episode 2 playthrough. after switching to hunk for the second time i've ran across a bug that makes his weapons and items disappear in the status menu or rather the item slot was blacked out and i couldn't access anything and even stranger when i picked up a some flamethrower fuel it was automatically equipped is there anyway to fix this
You were playing version 1.70 and you saved the game while playing with Alyssa (which causes a bug). Download this version to solve it, or stop saving the game with her, but I recommend you to download the latest version.

Can someone help me out? Im trying to play this game using my ps3 controller. And everything works except it wont let me use the d pad and i have to use the analog stick to move, using the analog stick is very annoying to me and i want to use the d pad to move. Any help would be appreciated!! :)
I don't think you can do anything to solve it. The original game was made to be played with the analog stick of the PSX controller, so...

You need a copy of Resident Evil 2 SourceNext to play my recent mods. If you have one, maybe you could solve it by setting the .exe file to Windows 95 compatibility

I'm sorry, but that's impossible. This is a mod for PC and it can't be ported to PSX. And even if it could be done, a PSX emulator wouldn't handle those skins and amounts of enemies.

Yes, but you need to set the .exe files to Windows 95 compatibility.
Why I kill some of the running zombies in the latter part of the game, my game will finish right away. I have to reload the last save to continue. Besides, I have to set the compatibility to Windows 8, otherwise it says the save is corrupt.

A mod with dinosaurs, etc is simply impossible. Mods with different Dino Crisis skins already exist out there.

Pulsa botón derecho y ve a propiedades. Allí debes activar la casilla de compatibilidad, y luego ajustarla a Windows 95. Hazlo con todos los ejecutables de todos los episodios, y también con el archivo de configuración. En teoría debería funcionar, a no ser que tengas Windows 8.

Es un juego creado por fans y lo puedes conseguir en la propia descripción del vídeo, o googleando. Pero si no sabes inglés no te recomiendo jugarlo, porque no podrás ni terminar el primer episodio.

Esta genial porq salen bastante enemigos, es algo distinto y de paso se juega con Hunk, un personaje estupendo dentro de la saga que no se para cuando lo van a traer de vuelta, se ve que es hecho por fans debido a las rayas que se ven en los pixeles, pero buen trabajo y bien pensado.
