▶【Synopsis】Set during the Ming Dynasty, the story revolves around the romance between General Xu Lingyi and the concubine's daughter Shiyiniang that starts from an arranged marriage. Despite being born with a low status, Luo Shiyiniang is extremely assertive and believes that a woman's vision should not be limited to the household. She hopes to rely on her embroidery skills as a ticket to freedom. However, the once esteemed Luo family is in a state of decline. Hoping to save the clan through a marriage alliance, Shiyiniang is selected to become the wife of Yongping Duke and great general Xu Lingyi. Things were not easy for Shiyiniang due to the Xu family's biases towards her. Nonetheless, she manages to win over their trust through her optimism and sincerity. Xu Lingyi also becomes attracted to Shiyiniang's various beautiful qualities such that husband and wife manage to find love after marriage.

Shiyi tensed up when Lingyi approached her bed while talking about the Waterway Classic. She probably thought he wanted to sleep with her. Lingyi noticed it so he backed away & just tucked her in instead. Her face when he took her hands & put them under the blanket was priceless.
The drunk scene has to be my most favorite moment ever of this drama. I rewinded it so many times and still fall on the floor laughing. From the servants racing up out of there to, Lingyi demanding fresh tea, and yelling hurry at the top of his lungs. Then Shiyi waking up the next morning trying to figure out how she got in bed 😂

Where I'm from, Ou translates to old, so as I was reading your comment, my brain automatically translated Ou to old and I was trying to figure out which old lady was picking a fight with a young wife XD

Finally! Grand Ma telling off concubine Qiao. 👏 Lianfeng was given a choice at the beginning, but she choose to lose her status and marry as a concubine a man that didn’t lover her. It was her choice....now she playing martyr. 😌 This series is so awesome 🤩🥰
I think she chose to be a concubine because she believes that when Yuniang died she can move up to be the legal wife due to her background! Little did she know that Yuniang would turn the tide and made Lingyi to do a deathbead promise to marry Shiyi🙃

When grandma was scolding Lianfeng she was gonna hug her to give her some comfort but thought better of it. In that moment she realized she was part of the reason why Lianfeng is the way she is now. Grandma realized she was her enabler so she pulled back.

最喜欢一开始品评兰花时的斗嘴场面，几个女子包括老太太都很机敏有趣。另外看到现在就觉得钟汉良的天然形象还是很适合男主人设的，孤傲清冷心怀大志肩负责任，只会偶有浅笑，只因女主才破开他冰山一角
看到侯爺被妻子訓勸，馴服很好玩，情之所鍾，丈夫也甘之如飴，眉梢眼角都盯隨著十一娘，（鍾漢良演譯出神入化）
幸好小嬌妻是正直講道理，後來察覺自己錯誤，傷害了丈夫的心，向侯爺真誠道歉望夫原諒，侯爺見她梨花帶雨，他自己也眼濕濕，証明侯爺心底早已原諒她。
此集感動好看

i love how she was smiling beautifully for the whole episode in the midst of adversity but the moment he tries to hold her hand, her beautiful smile disappears and is replaced by the " Oh crap... i'm screwed..." expression..
(I really felt the portrayal because i'm one of those people who are emotionally dense unless something weird happens... lol)
It was Oh crap I'm screwed, but only because she's starting to realize she has caught feelings, and she is still in the mindset that she really doesn't want to have them.

I just love these two, the reaction you get from both of them , it make you smile and shy at the same time, Wallace is superb in the Historical. Romance , is my cup of tea. Well played Drama so far and loving it!
