Cathie Quarles this my second time to watch and I am loving it even the OST. The twist and plot is very interesting. In the end the Grand Madam even put her life to save her daughter in law and knows by heart that Shiyi is a good person to Xu family especially to Xu Lingyi. The Marquis find his true love to Shiyi and vice versa as both have common goals. As the marquis said, It is not by status but it comes from the heart to trust someone.
I actually loved that ending scene where Lingyi lights the candles and prays for Shiyi’s mother 🙏🏻🕯🥰😭It really showed how much Lingyi truly loves and respects his wife 💗💗💗💗💗💗She is really apart of his family now. Such a tender and sweet moment!

He isn't just someone she knows. He is a member of the Ou family, the rival to her husbands family. Trust is very fragile and once you lose someone's trust it's hard to get it back.
I think she did the right thing, she didn't mean to trust him, she just wanted to avoid a bigger problem. When it comes to Lingyi, she will get there with time... I worry about her too, but I trust her judgement, afterall it's her business and only Shiyi should decide how she wants to handle it.

He didn't force her to tell him about her investigation she decided to do that. When you get married you give up the i's for us. That means her business is her husbands business.
