He wasn’t “messing with her” he was doing his JOB as an actor. Yes the ages weren’t the best but the producers and director saw that Mila and Ashton were perfect for their characters. The show wouldn’t be the same without them. They’ve only been together for like 9 years, when the show was long gone! They wouldn’t be together in the healthiest relationship they both have ever been in if it weren’t for that show
