People like you are the reason companies get away with cheating out on features. There’s a drastic difference between 60 hertz and 120 hertz. 120 hertz should be standard on all iPhones. Especially considering they start at like $800.
As someone else here said - nobody needs 120Hz to scroll through social media on a tiny phone screen. I wonder would the average person rather have a better battery life.

I also don’t find that the photos take very well. You take a photo and it either doesn’t focus on what you want it to or it just does it badly. I find you need to hold the phone far away and then take the photo and crop it. I didn’t have to do that on the 13 pro… I dunno, it’s kinda love hate for me as I prefer the lightness of the phone and I like the camera area being smaller on the back because I always used to end up touching one of the 3 on the 13 pro. 😂
You can certainly switch to whatever you want cause you're literally surrounded by phones. But for an average user, paying that much money for a 60hz device like that is kind of a joke imo.Quite a few number of phones out there cheaper than that with a higher refresh rate and almost or even better performance, let's not kid ourselves.
Unless you’re a hardcore mobile gamer, a 120+ Hz display is unnecessary. For the average person, a 60hz display is perfectly fine. I do agree that the iPhone 15/15 Plus is overpriced, though.
@@killacardec8337yes, the average user will notice, specially at that price. Stop justifying bad moves. The 13 pro(almost 3 year IPhone) is a better buy than 15 plus.

Messed around with one in best buy recently. Looks great, but i just cant handle that 60hz screen. It's very noticable from my Z flip 5 which looks MUCH smoother.
This is of course not the best iPhone that is out now. But it probably is the best deal of an iPhone today. The only bad thing is the refresh rate but if the 15 Plus would have that 120hz then the battery could be a bit worse. Otherwise it is a very solid iPhone and the regular 15 models are almost perfect as the base iPhones.
@@TiredMikeenot at all, specially at that price. If you’re used to 60hz, it’ll be fine but if you’re used to the pros and max, then no, you won’t be fine. The only advantage the 15 plus has over the 14PM and 15PM is the battery life and maybe how light the device is in comparison.
@@Chris_x_ Yes, it's overpriced but I stand by my original comment. I have an S22 and after using it on adaptive refresh for a while, I changed it to 'standard' which is fixed at 60hz. I'm not a mobile gamer so 120hz is unnecessary; it just drains battery faster without any meaningful difference in daily use. Like I said, unless you play a lot of mobile games, a 60hz display is perfectly fine.
@@TiredMikee I don't play games on my phone and i do like and notice the smoothness. is it a deal breaker? for me no but if you're paying over 800 bucks for a phone, it needs to have what even a budget phone has. Refresh rate needs to be included.
Battery life and lightness are two great reasons. The key issue with the Pro Max is that it’s so incredibly heavy. It feels like a brick in the hand. With a case it also feels very thick. The Pro Max feels just weirdly heavy, not even like a phone, just an iron brick, compared to any other phone out there. The 15 Plus meanwhile is light and thin, and that battery is just amazing.
At this point I'd say wait for the 16 Plus as it will have better support for the new direction Apple is going, but between the those 2, the 15 Plus takes the win for the much longer battery life!
I know it sounds kind of a bad take, but high refresh rate doesn't really matter unless you play games competitively which is on a PC, no normal human needs to scroll through UI at 120hz, 60hz is well enough and also saves battery.
You are wrong. I don't play games yet when I use a 60hz phone vs a 120hz the 60hz feels laggy. 120hz makes the phone smoother , why did Apple include it in the pro and pro max then ?
Your review videos have been pretty good. Been thinking of getting a 15 plus lately since can’t afford the pro max and idk if I can do the 6.1 inch since I’m used to the 6.5 inch on my 11 pro max. Seems my 11 pro max is getting very old that even a 15 plus is an upgrade or does everything my current phone can do lol
I’ve thought pro-motion has been overrated for a bit now. It kills your battery faster, and I barely see a difference when swiping around. I have the pro max and I ended up turning off pro-motion. It has helped my battery life. When I upgrade, I’m probably just going to go with the Plus model, and not the pro max.
Have to disagree. I returned mine after a week, just too big and bulky with case. And weight is still a factor. I got the 15 and loving it. The 6.1 screen is the sweet spot for me.
One thing I do not like about the base models of the 15 is the 60Hz display. Even some androids that cost less than half the price of the 15 have more than 60Hz
I have a Z fold 5 and the weight is killing me. Well, I saw a deal on an iPhone 12. Super cheap and a bit old, but what a difference in weight in my hand. I was a little concerned with the 64gb storage, but I barely have half of it filled. For what Im actually doing with my phone anymore, this is ok. Its nice not carrying a heavy brick in my hand.
Just went from my 13 PM to 15 PM but i also considered the normal 15 Plus. All are great phones and i think we are far beyond to complain about anything besides 60Hz for 1000$ pricetag. But i also use and love my iPad Mini 6 (60Hz) and its totally fine.
Would you uses any of the extra features on the Pro Max? Are you bothered by 60Hz on small phone displays? Are you a photographer? Do you play mobile games?
The only thing that's stopping me buying this compared to the 15 pro is the refresh rate. Is the 15pro more "future proof " because of the refresh rate... I dont play games on the phone so from that perspective its not an issue
I said when the 15 lineup first came out they were the better value iPhones in the 15 series. To me, there isn't much incentives to pay more and get the pro models. If they ever put 90 hertz or Pro-motion in the base iPhones then you basically are much better off paying less and getting a regular or Plus model. The Plus especially is great for the big screen and best battery life too.

@@TiredMikee I don't play games on my phone and i do like and notice the smoothness. is it a deal breaker? for me no but if you're paying over 800 bucks for a phone, it needs to have what even a budget phone has. Refresh rate needs to be included.
@@TiredMikee 60hz is unusable on android. I don’t mind the 60hz on my 14PM…. But 120 on android feels better than 120 on iOS
I went from 13 mini to regular iPhone 15 and couldn’t be happier
I switch from a 14 pro max to a 15 plus and dont see any différence for now except in few case with the camera
Excellent review
Just got a 15 plus I love it
My wife and I just got a pair of these phones (switched from Android) and we love them! 👍🏾👍🏾
Is the case for iPhone 15 plus compatible to iPhone 14 plus?
The matte black back is my favorite. Im using my 15 plus more than my 15 pro max. Not gonna lie…
What’s the point in buying the same phone twice … if you even have both
Really thinking of switching to the 15 plus. Im from the iphone 15 pro max
Why downgrade
Could you comment more on what issues you had with the eSIM? I’m having issues as well
man you are so right too bad I have the 15 pro already tho might get a 15 plus
Battery life and lightness are two great reasons. The key issue with the Pro Max is that it’s so incredibly heavy. It feels like a brick in the hand. With a case it also feels very thick. The Pro Max feels just weirdly heavy, not even like a phone, just an iron brick, compared to any other phone out there. The 15 Plus meanwhile is light and thin, and that battery is just amazing.
I love your videos. I have the iPhone 15 but I’m thinking about also getting the iPhone 15 plus. ❤
Nah man, that is common sense! Unfortunately, common sense is not that common. 😂
Yeah people are acting like 60hz is equivalent of 480p.
You are wrong. I don't play games yet when I use a 60hz phone vs a 120hz the 60hz feels laggy. 120hz makes the phone smoother , why did Apple include it in the pro and pro max then ?
Nice review!
Thank you! Cheers!
Nick brotherly, you have started again this year 😂
That’s what I wanted too if it didn’t have dinosaur age 60hz. Sadly, I had to go with the 15 Max instead
great vid. currently using base model 13. I would choose base 15 plus...
Commenting from my iPhone 15 plus 😊
Apple iPhone 15 PlusvsSamsung Galaxy S24 FE
Or ihone 14 + plus Which one's go for can you get help
Your review videos have been pretty good. Been thinking of getting a 15 plus lately since can’t afford the pro max and idk if I can do the 6.1 inch since I’m used to the 6.5 inch on my 11 pro max. Seems my 11 pro max is getting very old that even a 15 plus is an upgrade or does everything my current phone can do lol
the iphone 15 pro max/plus is pretty big but it looks like normal sized on your hands. how tall are you?
If you want the best iPhone 15 just get the 15+
Great video Nick 👏🏻
Glad you enjoyed it
I’ve thought pro-motion has been overrated for a bit now. It kills your battery faster, and I barely see a difference when swiping around. I have the pro max and I ended up turning off pro-motion. It has helped my battery life. When I upgrade, I’m probably just going to go with the Plus model, and not the pro max.
Definitely not overrated
Have to disagree. I returned mine after a week, just too big and bulky with case. And weight is still a factor. I got the 15 and loving it. The 6.1 screen is the sweet spot for me.
thank you, I was on the fence
One thing I do not like about the base models of the 15 is the 60Hz display. Even some androids that cost less than half the price of the 15 have more than 60Hz
I learned some things great video
Glad to hear it!
I currently have iPhone 11 and thinking about upgrading to iPhone 15 Plus at the end of the year for my birthday-
Love that his wife’s playlist is all Karol G she’s a real one
I would love to get the 15 plus, but I can’t give up my always on display on my 14pm
14PM way better, you‘ve got the 120hz,the Always-on-Display and the Same Chip.Don‘t make a downgrade to 60hz.Oh,and the Cameras are nearly the Same
You've got an awesome phone pls don't downgrade it.
Only the battery life and photo resolution with that 24mp of the 15 plus would be an upgrade. Everything else is worse.
That would be a downgrade
@@HyperSpryzen_10cameras are way better in 15plus due to 24mp to all photos and better night shots
Man, you're making me want to be curious and ditch my 15 Pro and get the 15 Plus so bad!
That's a tough call, maybe we will make a comparison on that
I am seriously thinking something similar, ditching my 15 pro max for the 15 plus.
Just ordered this. Traded in my 13 pro max
I'm getting it this week
How is it, have u had any problems?
Should I get the blue or black 15 plus?
do you really need to flick through all the screens really fast contantly? doesnt add anything to the video
Im thinking the SAME thing. Gonna wait til the 16 drops and Best Buy sells the 15's unlocked AND a trade in.
Just went from my 13 PM to 15 PM but i also considered the normal 15 Plus. All are great phones and i think we are far beyond to complain about anything besides 60Hz for 1000$ pricetag.
But i also use and love my iPad Mini 6 (60Hz) and its totally fine.
why on earth would you get rid of the best battery life phone ever.
If you had the option between this and the iPhone 15 pro non max which would you go with
This! 100%
That was the decision I made too! 😎
Would you uses any of the extra features on the Pro Max? Are you bothered by 60Hz on small phone displays? Are you a photographer? Do you play mobile games?
it's my first iPhone that I am gonna get should I get 14 pro or iPhone 15 plus
Which tempered glass you are using ??
The only thing that's stopping me buying this compared to the 15 pro is the refresh rate. Is the 15pro more "future proof " because of the refresh rate... I dont play games on the phone so from that perspective its not an issue
i have never found the difference between pro-motion and normal display .....
says it performs like a beast and the first 2 apps he opens take ages to load haha
Are you not using the se anymore?
I said when the 15 lineup first came out they were the better value iPhones in the 15 series. To me, there isn't much incentives to pay more and get the pro models. If they ever put 90 hertz or Pro-motion in the base iPhones then you basically are much better off paying less and getting a regular or Plus model. The Plus especially is great for the big screen and best battery life too.
