@S C We're not known for being super rowdy because we've been winning since the beginning of time, and we're well past the whole "scream for 4 quarters" thing. It's more of a "been there, done that" attitude. You see the same thing at Lakers and Yankees games. BUT... our crowd has also been known to absolutely ball out when we really feel the need to. In the SEC, they'll get a dose of "oh shit, the OU fans decided to yell, I did know they had tongues, but I guess they definitely do" We'll show em what's up, and by then, we should be back to having home field advantage. Sooners got a lot less passing yards, only converted 1 of 14 3rd downs, had the ball only 22 minutes, and only had 17 1st downs... but won HANDILY 🙂 It was great to see the defense hold the Cowpokers to its 2nd lowest score of this season, and the Sooners needed that stingy defense as we hung less on the cowpokers than 8 of their other opponents. It was very ironic that the cowpokers after losing to the Sooners like that got votes to get back in the top 25, but the Sooners didn't :( :( :( Let's see if we can at least bring down Texas Tech and give them their 5th loss and make them tied with us for 5th place rather than an even worse tie for 6th place next week to end a very disappointing season :-( Meanwhile, great win over a cowpoker team that beat several teams OU couldn't!
I noticed that ball carriers carry the ball in the wrong hand when next the side line. Willis on his fumble had the ball in the right hand away from the side line. If he had it in the left hand the ball if knocked out may have gone out of bounds. This can be taught.
Not what you expect from a captain, you expect your captain to know such things that fumble possibly cost a touchdown. Like where the line scrimmage was in the WV game that cost a touchdown to be taken off the board.

@@MJ-pk4gh, I agree. Venables is doing the best he can with what he got handed. Lincoln Riley did no favors for OU by taking some of their best players and losing coaching staff too. Honestly, I'm looking forward to next year to see what Coach V and his staff have put together! I'm just happy LR is gone; he fell out of love with OU long before he left, and his coaching proved it and I feel like USC had him on their 'team' long before anyone realized it. OU has a long history of a very successful football program and we WILL get back to that once all the dust has settled and Venables is the head coach I believe him to be. I'm feeling some Sooooner Magic! Boomer!
@Christie Pyle The thing is, I don't miss one coach from that staff. I miss a few of the players, but not the coaches. And I sure as hell don't miss Riley. Going to the SEC with him and grinch would've been an absolute disaster. I think we got better with this staff. We just won't see the results until they get to run their system with their own guys. When our fans see what we become, they won't be talking trash about Roof and Lebby anymore. At least, that's what I think. 🤞🙏
What a disastrous loss. Under the circumstances this is by far, hands down Gundy’s worst Bedlam loss & season. 3 games this season we’re statistically worse than 2005…. There’s a problem.
BIG12 competition is really good this year. Although I’m not a fan of gundy(I find him mediocre) I don’t think those losses are necessarily a sign that gundy is a problem. Good luck finding a better coach for a school like OSU

If his conservative in game decisions don't improve next year Oklahoma HAS to capitalize on it's success and move on. You're "at a school like OSU" comment is just beyond ridiculous. To think that a Top 10-15 winning program over the last decade plus, who is paying 9.6 MILLION just for a HC, DC and Strength Coach would be nothing without Gundy is such a weak sauce small minded homer only statement brother. We have the proven consistent success, recruiting footprint, financial resources, facilities, multiple N.I.L. collectives and opportunities right now to be more successful than we are right now.
