- Ever wondered how do bank traders trade? Ex JP Morgan trader, Kathy Lien from @BKForex will share with you how you can trade like the big banks.
A lot of retail traders would like to think that the smart money use merely technical analysis to trade. While that is part of their strategy, but it is not everything. In this bank trader interview, Kathy Lien will share with you what her time at JP Morgan taught her and how you can also use the same trading strategies as a retail trader.
While you may not replicate and trade exactly like the big banks, there are some smart money trading strategies mentioned by Kathy that you can consider applying into forex trading or the stock market.

Great ! It's about time to make prop firms more popular in Asia. There's only few in Japan for the largest retail market.
Also Thanks to Kathy explaining about how you can manage to when the market is working on your strategy and when it's not. That's probably the most important factor for trading psychology especially if your strategy is losing for the miss matched market.
This is why EA never works 24/7 but if you can program to distinguish the market and make the EA when to trade, that's another whole industry to create.
I think strategy is less important, but how and when to use it is the most important factor for trading which most successful traders never explain.
Kathy writes great books.

Awesome! Interview! Lots of good info.👍🏾
Amazing interview, Kathy is so generous and genuine to tell what she kows, not like others traders' interview, speaking very blurly like they are telling you somwthing but actually not.
Love this interview ❤ thabks for both of you .
Personally i don't like listening to people who take forever to get to the point. If you truly know your stuff, you will talk about the main points :)
Thanks karen❤

Is having trading desk helps in trading or Does trading environment affects trading?
Amazing Thankyou

The best sharing from both of you for me, thank you so much 😍🥰
Thank you
At around 40 seconds, Karen asks about time frames, and Kathy responds, "What are my favorite time frames...". I really like Karen's face at that moment. Its like, " That's not what I asked." Lol What do you guys think, my imagination???
I think the drink in the mug was a bit hot haha, so Karen's squint coincided with when she said "my favourite timeframes"
I am trading in high time frame 1 hour and 1 day but I cannot figure out how to prepare for fundamental and economic calendar to make my decision right . I use cot report still the price comes to touch my sl
Don't incorporate them
COT is lagging
COT is an indicator for confirmation.... Learning how to read the data plays an important role. Eg, when non commercials are closing their short positions and not adding long, you don't look to buy until they start adding longs. Closing Short will only lower the down trend and possibly leave the market ranging. And only look for your entry at a key level.
@@dalisay5558 it lags but it is still of good use for one who can read it well.
👍
TECHNICAL +FUNDAMENTAL =GOOD TRADE
smart women, i love the convers
How else can one quantify beauty. My dear, you're beautiful. Don't worry about the haters. Thanks.
Honestly, I don't learn trading lesson from any mentor but I learned from a book published in 1931 and this book "Wall Street Ventures Adventures Through Forty Years by Richard D. Wyckoff."
very insightful interview i like how she said the differentiating factor between retail and smart money is accountability and she couldnt be so true cause the risk appetite of retail is not sustainable on the long run. i agree with the combination approach fundamentals give you that overall long term bias or DOL in the macro timeframes i'm usually spending more time doing economic research than i am technical but both are crucial interpreting financial statements and macro data
Pls is it true that the educators have a contract signed with brookers??
Thank you for the fine video. With so many trading entities obsessing over very short time frames, I fade that madness and trade off the 5 year chart.
It's a very typical retail trader mistake to start off trading small time frames
Love from Bangladesh.
It’s easy…be rich and not be afraid of risk
Can you make signals? Not all the people have time to study the chat by themselves, but the can follow someone they trust like you
Karen My mentor, from Kenya
“ How to trade like big banks “
“ Have big money. Multiple small trade, huge volume.”
Good mentor in stock market in the world.
Keep this hairstyle beautiful for you.
i keep whatever hairstyle i want don't care about nobody's opinion
so informative 🙂 thank you
Do banks use stop losses? No. I’d like to hear that from Kathy because while I don’t work in a bank or know people who work in a bank, it’s surely common sense that a bank doesn’t enter a long on EURUSD and then pace a stop under the recent low 😂 common dude
No. Banks are so confident in their analysis due to their advanced technical and fundamental analysis they do not need a stoploss.
