Good balance between street level crime drama and Peters' personal struggles. Solid action, strong use of personal challenges like gambling and drug addiction. This show was peak and I miss it.
Otto Octavius called himself "The Master Planner." But I think Norman Osborn here is the true Master Planner. Faking his own death to get away from the authorities after being unmasked, using his "death" to ruin Spider-Man, and getting away with his heinous crimes. I swear, he's basically the Spectacular Spider-Man version of Walter White, A.K.A. Heisenberg from Breaking Bad. With a few differences, of course.
That episode where he manipulated the crime lords to fight each other, which ended in all of them out and him taking over the criminal underworld. That was his best mastermind moment
Well, Otto Octavius single-handedly masterminded a plan which very nearly saw him conquer the entire world in this show, which is, in scope, far more than anything that Norman Osborn has done. So I think that makes Doctor Octopus qualified to be the true Master Planner.
@egyptianchiefkeef2687 Yes, I know there are many differences, obviously. But they're ARE similarities. Especially with The Green Goblin and The Joker.
@@amjh4lah809 I totally agree with you. Spiderman is the Batman and Green Goblin the Joker of Marvels. They do share similarities. Gobey and the Joker both wear the same colors. Laugh as well Spidey and Batman. Both wear masks. Prefer going solo. And fight for justice
Interesting interpretation. If anything I thought this version of Norman was way worse on account of the fact that he's fully in control of his actions as the Goblin.
"We all wear masks Spider-Man, but which one is real? The one that hides our face, or the one that is our face?" One of the most underrated lines ever
I know. It's one of most iconic phrases in this show. It's so iconic
I miss this show. It was the best Spiderman show ever in my opinion. Who's with me
My longstanding opinion for years
I prefer the New Animated Series, but this one got screwed over for more asinine reasons.
Yup yup!!
Yea, it was and still is for me the best Spider-Man TV Show.

I thought of the first thing too after the gang war story arc

@@AlguienCualquieraDelMundo He's no Wilson Fisk, but Norman Osborn made a great criminal mastermind.

Their rivlary reminds me so much of Batman and The Joker.
Because Green Goblin is the Joker of Marvel Comics

Other than Goblin and Norman having different voice actors to help conceal the twist, I think Norman’s Goblin mask also has a voice filter.
"Welp, time to go break my son's leg I guess."
Marvels Batman vs Joker. I love em both ❤
Spider-Man isn’t like Batman and green goblin isn’t like joker. But they do share a similar relationship to Batman and the joker.

I can sympathize with Norman in this version for not wanting to feel weak and powerless.
