There is a mod for Half Life called Zombie Edition. It is rather short for my liking, but it is a good mod. You play as a headcrab and can mutate into different zombies with different abilities.

you can even play half life 1 with that mod thanks to console commands! there is quite a few places you get stuck though...

Wish it had the feasting part from the OG mod. You didnt lose health slowly but you could only get health back by feasting on corpses
iirc in zombie edition your host did lose health slowly, but not the headcrab (you)
