We have not tested visors out personally, but please make sure if you do try it out that the visor is from a reputable company. If your foil ever hit the visor, you're not going to want some cheap visor busting into a million pieces into your eye. It's quite possible that American Football and Lacrosse visors are rated for some amount of contact, possibly snowboarding and motorcycle ones too but I'd want to see a video of someone smashing on that lens with a hammer before I put it between my eyes and a foil.

What's the difference between this helmets and helmets for other water sports, for example kaiaking?
I’m not familiar with the kayak helmets. Seems like different levels of padding and coverage for the different sports.
