I have been a pitching coach for 30 years! I don’t think I have ever agreed with a pitching coach more. I have seen some crazy stuff!! I love your videos. It just reassures me that I’m teaching correctly.

I have been discussing this issue with my daughter for 3 yrs. She is 14 and now properly working her drag. She has picked up speed losing that anchor. I appreciate that you use simple terms to demonstrate the proper mechanics for fastpitch pitcher's. Also no more purchasing two pair of cleats each season. She could burn through Ringers!

Soooo...how do you fix a chronic Drive Foot Collapse? Are you able to drive me to a video/link with a few drills?

@@JT-nz7wf drive foot collapse is almost ALWAYS caused by improper use of the hips, meaning opening the hips too early or over opening. We have a ton of drills that work on this in the fastpitch power+ app!

Daughter has had this issue for a long time and can’t seem to fix it. I think both structural and now habit too. Where are your videos with drills to help with strength & conditioning for this issue? Thx!

We have a lot of drill for drag foot collapse on Fastpitch Power+. Generally it is caused by not using the hips correctly. As for strength training, we do have a few strength training drills on Fastpitch Power+ as well but we always recommend our pitchers work with personal trainers

Can a poorly maintained mound (deep trench in front of rubber)play a part in drive foot problems?

Typically things like that could definitely make it a lot more challenging to drive through completely or quickly. But it usually would not cause things like leaping/crow hopping or drive foot collapse. Those things are usually caused by mechanical breakdown such as opening the body too soon in the load/reach or not using the hips correctly in power K
