      I think it'll be like Expanse where eventually the rich will start "sponsor" working to space stations and mines under a "contract." Basically space flight will thrive when the flood gates allow us to send slaves in orbit.

      @@Jem_Apple The Expanse takes place in the 24rd century which makes it by far the most realistic sci-fi show. The only thing I’d say isn’t realistic is that the Epstein Drive is a fusion drive instead of a fission drive, I would say that given the way it explodes it’s actually a fission drive. Seeing as we’re probably going to be using constant acceleration fission NTRs to navigate through the solar system. The other one I could see is a massive religion migration sponsor by the Church of Latter Day Saints.

    The St. Jude PA is an amazing woman! Anyone that has lived the life she has and still have a sense of adventure like she has is nothing short of a miracle and astonishing to me! The fact that she came full circle from being a patient as a child to being and employee as an adult has to melt harts around the world plain and simple!       @@MrDasfried micrometeorite protection requires 2 layers, 1 for the object to crash into an vaporize and then one to catch the debris.
      At those speeds everything a material that can cushion is not the worst idea

    That's like flying over the Arctic circle in a 747 and saying that you've been to the arctic circle.
    Unless you have done a space walk 100klm above earth, then, only then, you can probably say you have been to space.

    So, who do you sue for an accident on an international cruise (if you're in a country that allows foreign registered cruise vessels)... I have a feeling that the IMO codes for business in international waters are 90% sufficient to cover space tourism. Just rebrand SOLAS to SOLIS and you're good to go.
    Also, I'm somewhat intrigued about the mechanics of a slip and fall when you're in orbital free-fall...

      @@KRYMauL it isn't even micro gravity in space, you feel weightless because you and the spacecraft are both in an eternal freefall we call "orbit". The space station feels like 90% or more of the gravity we feel on the surface

    Follow star trek laws. Which are called the prime laws. Also private ships have more opportunity and have more options. Compared to star trek they are science vessels and tactical systems to fight a war in space. They are basically exploratory vessels.
