Please note that as of November 2024 you don’t get incentivized for learning French through MIFI program. Although the classes are still free to all who live in Quebec.
You do not have to pay for French classes. Until November 2024, you were compensated to attend French classes by MIFI but now they do not compensate you. They also do not charge you and the classes are free.
Hi, the time required to learn French depends on every individual. Just to give you my example as a reference, I was a full time student in French classes and it took me around 9-10 months to reach C1 level. I wasn’t working anywhere at that time. All I did for 9 months was solely learning French. Job opportunities wise, it will obviously give you the edge over others and will able to find one easily.
@@rahulminhas572 Yea construction is always in demand but when it comes to Quebec, you would need to be completely bilingual to work because construction workers do not understand a word in English so if you are planning to come here then just be prepared to master French.
@@thefrenchdesi Yeah, I understand. I am very eager and excited to get myself immersed into a new culture. I feel like if I am switching countries, It should feel like I am in a different country and not just all Indians. This definitely includes making friendships with native Montreal people. By the way, are people good in Montreal? Do they help if we try to initiate a conversation in French?

Hello, what type of job are talking about? Part time or full time corporate job? I would suggest not to rush like this as you will eventually find opportunities when you land here. I would also like to remind that yes getting a job could be stressful but at the same time don’t forget to explore the city in itself :)
@@hassanshakeel3199 I would say don't stress too much about it since you are even not in the country. You will be able to find one once you come here :)
