    Brian, you are dang near batting a thousand with me. Your content has been my go-to since you started. I can not remember a episode or film you put out that has not entertained me, that I have not learned something from, and my favorite your inspiration is second to none.

    Living in san diego and being a self taught hunter with no hunting partners is tuff. I tend to lose motivation over the last few years due to not seeing animals. Your channel has been my missing link. Your videos are inspiring, truly. The New Zealand series is phenomenal. Thank you so much for the amazing content, looking forward to many more adventures. The audio book podcast is great too. Be safe out there, keep up the great work.

    I would like to thank the kid who ask the question 👉🏽 (49:45) about shelter placement during 🏔 thunderstorms ⛈ I would have asked that same exact question! 🏕🏔

    Loved this podcast. Can’t believe I missed it. The amount of knowledge sitting at one table is impressive to say the least.

    So I know you have given me thumbs up in the past, I am prior Military who somehow got caught in love in Germany! Some of my fondest memories are as a child hunting and fishing rural New York. So you just can`t fathom how much I enjoy you and your travels. Please just keep it up! Thanks

    The patients response was a game changer for me. Hunting general tags with limited time I always felt as soon as we saw a buck we had to go kill it as soon as possible because if we didn’t someone else was going to. About 6 or 7 years ago my uncle took me in on horses about 6 miles and the first evening we saw a group of bucks with 3 shooters and I was packing my stuff getting ready to go shoot one. They were 1200 yards away and my uncle said. What are you doing? They will be closer tomorrow just wait. I thought he was crazy but I waited and sure enough they had cut have the distance in half. We ended up killing one of those bucks two days later by just watching them and learning what they were doing. Most impactful hunt of my life. But I did also learned you need more time and distance to be successful. Love the podcast!

    I wouldn’t say so much as an obligation to pass on what you guys know, but more so a responsibility to pass on the knowledge for a grossly misunderstood lifestyle.
    Empowerment IS motivation. Inspiring other immensely which I can attest first hand Brian.
    Educating others while creating amazing visuals is a very very hard angle to grasp consistently, yet you guys have some how captured and sucked me into something I never would of imagined possible for someone born and raised in Hawaii having never fired a firearm or even held one til a little over a year ago.
    Obsession. Relentlessness. Passion. Then when all is said and done, it will be my responsibility such as yours, to pass on everything I know to the next and try to engrave grit of success to others.
    Hunting solo opens the mind to deal with what we are so distracted by in this rat race of life. It was unbelievably difficult to deal with the silence the first time I went out. Every day I left the woods, a piece of the weakness was left there too. Mentally stronger and physically unbreakable was the goal I was pursuing everyday, yet at the time I was blind to it. And it all started with a curiosity and random 1 hr video of backcountry bear hunting video. Who woulda thought

      Very well said and we really appreciate the kind words. We do our best to educate. If we don't do it, who will? Also, if we don't educate, there will be more and more hunters that just don't know how to be respectful or don't know what they are doing wrong. Thanks for your support of the show.

    So let's give back, help each other, answer questions 34:40 can I say the state NO!!!!

    • @GrittyGearAndPodcast
      @GrittyGearAndPodcast  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      So we have to give you the states we hunt and a GPS location to “give back?” We stopped sharing state information and units when 50 to 100 new people showed up in our hunting spots and ruined the hunt for us and for the locals who’d been hunting those spots for generations. Stop focusing on “where” successful hunters hunt and focus on “how” they hunt. The fact is we hunt all the Western states on OTC and easy draw tags on public lands and we repeat our success year after year in all those states. People always think it’s about the “Honey Hole”-it’s not. There are honey holes all over. Learn the techniques for scouting, stalking and killing and you won’t need to know “where” we hunt.

      @@GrittyGearAndPodcast EZ brian nothing but RESPECT here, I'm just going off that nice intro about sharing knowledge and passing it down, but when asked what state ryan killed that monster bull in, Mark can't say the state, we talking the state... NO one's asking for waypoints or GPS coordinates or units. dude I watch the video's, there's not to many hunters that I know that can do the things that you guys do. List goes on rafts, lamas, 2000' vertical incline, frozen tundra. so I just find it funny that Mark can't even say the state... the state dude com'on ✌🏽🤙🏽

      @@503huntah5 - LOL! Thanks. Sorry… it’s a sensitive subject 😜
      It’s is kinda funny though. I joke with Ryan that nobody will go to some of these spots even if they had the waypoint-only crazies like us think that’s fun. 🤷🏻‍♂️😊
