As a ACTUAL Indonesian who is in Indonesia as I am writing this, the weather is very hot here. There are tons of stray cats and dogs, depending where you are. In Jakarta, I see stray cats but in Bali, I see stray dogs more often.

Batam and Bintan island is quite nice though. Due to the proximity to Singapore, it is a free trade zone so you have all the luxuries of Singapore (including the casinos and the working ladies) but with Indonesian prices.
