    Will it last for 3 years worth of washing though? Bear in mind how filthy children from 1 to 3 can get clothing sometimes in just a few hours of wear. I think it's awesome to see art and geometry meet to try and simplify real life issues, I just wonder how practical this really is or if it's more just a gimmick.

    • @arthurbiddle4201
      @arthurbiddle4201 2 ปีที่แล้ว +43

      @@butt.whytho I agree with that. This is very similar to an artist I recently learned about and I'm so frustrated I can remember his name. Anyways he is half paper folding artist and half engineer/sciencetest and he combines the two to make these jaw dropping geometrical things of pure beauty. But his more recent stuff involves using material that has fold memory and at a resting state the whole thing is collapses on itself so it just looks like a stack of paper no thicker than a magazine but when it's opened up it opens onto these really big geometric "sculpters". Engineers are studying what he does to learn from his technique which is something completely unique and could lead to ground breaking methods in how we build things. I really wish I could remember the name.

I really though he was going to say he was inspired by needy kids with parents who can't afford to keep buying clothes every 3 months. I think the concept is great. And kids don't really care as long as they're free to move. I'm sure it keeps them nice and warm too.

      I actually have a shirt very similar to this design for my daughter. They were popular in the 90s, lol. We called them scrunchy shirts. They looked like a tiny little shirt all scrunched up that would fit a baby doll, but they stretched out enormously. They typically had really busy designs on them. Anyway, I got that for her when she was around 2 at a garage sale, and she still wears it today at age 5. Next year, it will probably be handed to her younger sister. Best $1 I ever spent.

For developing countries or poorer families this is extremely helpful. Second, the designer mentioned about how children explore the earth and are very active, and that's true! It kills me when I see little girls dressed up in big puffy dresses, and then when they try to do something like go down a slide or climb a rock their parents stop them so they don't ruling the dress. Kids are meant to play a lot of the time, and the fact that these clothes are durable and water resistant helps that.

In the end I pay a lot less now with "high end eco friendly" clothes than before with my low priced outfits. You're making fun of people who don't like this idea when in reality you're dumb for not understanding that having kids isn't cheap either. Also, who cares if people like fashion? Scream at them and complain like you did here? For embarrassing.

      sidthekid456 It matters a whole lot. These clothes will be brought on a market were the buyers are most likely people who can afford different type of clothing, therefore they indirectly decide whether this product will be further produced or not. So the clothing HAS to appeal to most of the buyers. Also as long as we don't know the price of these garments we can't even say whether it will benefit poor families or not. And considering how the producer is planning to open up a store in the UK, these garments will be most likely wayyy too expensive for third world families anyways. I like your view, but the world sadly doesn't work that way.
