  • Short demonstration of HOAX3 board built into self-made console, compared against a real 1966 Hammond B3 with Leslie 147. Please note: HOAX organ played through small studio speakers (if not noted otherwise) and recorded with handheld equipment. HOAX3 Leslie simulation not final yet. Performer: Lutz Krajenski, Hannover. See www.keyboardpartner.de for OEM details on HOAX3 board.

Can anyone explain to me why you would not just get a Hammond B3 Portable the new Portable B3. I just don't get it. Hammond players know the true sound's that a tone wheel makes. People are putting these Clones into a Hammond B3 CASE BODY for what? you are still carrying around a big piece of organ. Why not just use the portable B3 it has the midi capabilities and they have reproduced the exact sound Look at the video " Meet the New Hammond B3"

+daniel kinney Thats fine if you want to spend $25.000.00 for the New B3P and a Leslie. You'll probably want road cases for the organ and Leslie, unless you dont mind your 25K investment getting road worn. And you'll need a truck to haul them both around...

Digi= NO MAGNETIC FLUX IMPEDANCE FEEDBACK, DO THAT TIMES 91 and digital doesn't stand a chance. Google ' MEMMIS organ ' for what I propose will be the next logical step to REALLY getting analog where we want it in the 21st century. Please feel free to comment, suggest, or just say you have no clue what I am talking about, but read all of the posts first.

Hammond B 3 the real deal wins every time. I can hear the difference big time. IT's never going to be the same. i guess to each his own, but why would you want to CLOAN a Hammond Organ maybe Im just STUPID or Ignorant but i don't see the point.

+daniel kinney Everybody agrees the original vintage organ and Leslie is the gold standard. Question: Are
you a gigging organ player? Do you haul a B3 and Leslie to gigs?

Yes, the real deal does sound good, but the organ alone weighs like 425 lbs, and a Leslie weighs like 145 lbs. They also cost thousands of dollars both the organ and the speaker. We invented clonewheel organs for this reason. Sure they don’t sound as good, but the advantage they have here is that they’re cheaper and more portable. So you can (kinda) have that sound without having to worry about costs, or your back
