congrats on buying a castle jesse!!
was cheaper than a house in California!
Hey @jesseNyberg!
For one who also moved to France and whom's curious in graphic design, what is your mindset in finding clients end set up a business? Would love to hear your thoughts as I find your channel very inspiring and especially now, living in France 🥳
Welcome and congratulations🎉
Growing up in the Philippines, pursuing art and design was not the norm. My parents expected me to take up nursing or engineering. When they learned that I was enrolling in Fine Arts, they were surprised and a little disappointed. They discouraged me since they didn't know anything about design, and it was fairly unheard of in our community. But I pushed through and learned what I could. I didn't even have a personal computer at home, so I had to go to computer shops to work on my projects, I even convinced the owner to install a pirated version of Photoshop CS! sorry Adobe
To make a long story short, I'm now a senior art director for a TV network, earning a decent amount to support my family. To whoever is reading this, just push through. You can do it.
Much Love Jesse! This is humbling.
Very impressive, congrats
As a fellow Filipino in my 3rd year studying multimedia arts, this is very motivational, thank you for sharing this!
"Nothing easy is worth doing" ✊🏼
Much love Bart!
Sorry to hear about your mom man but it’s extremely motivating to see what you turned the situation into. Mom would be proud man
@@joelroac appreciate it brotha, was great hanging out with you at the castle too!
As someone who lives in France, it's crazy for me to think that visiting a castle can be so meaningful for someone, especially for someone who lives in America. Also, thanks for speaking out so much about what design and freelancing do to you. Just hearing someone speak about the little things helps a lot!
I think it’s crazy to stay inside a castle with 25 other Artist for 5 days no matter where you live hahahah
loved listening to this, Jesse - this made spending some time with you here even more special. Never stop dreaming ✨
Much love Gabe! It was great meeting you and looking forward to seeing what you keep doing in the future.
this was incredible jesse - mad proud of you
@@wholesomesimon Much love Simon, appreciate you for being a part of the journey🫶🏻
Your video moved me a lot, I am French and I am going through a difficult period, I lost my father at the end of 2023.
I have been oriented towards design for a few years and I hope that one day I will be able to be as fulfilled as you
I hope your liked France 😄
Thank you 🙏🏼
I really respect your openness man. It's refreshing to see someone soaking it all in. RIP mama Glue
You are amaziiing !! Congrats on all your achievements 🎉
You are an inspiration! For me, you don’t come off like you are bragging. You seem sincere and open 😊
Love this! You are one of my favorite people to watch in the design space, so it makes me very happy to hear and see you accomplish your goals. I get stuck on the outcome sometimes too which seems normal but is very hard to overcome. I think more people need to have these open "convos" with each other just to let everyone know that it is okay to not be exactly where you thought you would be.. and sometimes... its even better than you planned for so just go with the flow. As long as you are working hard, it doesnt matter who you are, good things will come!
Very inspirational! Thanks for sharing.
You deserve all of this.
You've worked so hard and you're a pretty chill guy😌
Keep soaring bro
Banger video. Thank you for being so honest and vulnerable.

Greetings from France, very cool to see you here.
Enjoy !
Love these videos. Inspires me to keep moving forward
This is really inspiring, right now I’m one of those who doesn’t really know what I want for my life, and this is like a push for me to seek a new perspective of the world, it’s just amazing
I just literally had a morning meditation with this vid. I was staring at the castle and listening to your calming speaking. So touching and inspiring...
I was looking for a video like this, you are living my dream life, thank you for making this video, i am super charged, inspired. I am stage zero at the moment but am damn sure I will achieve my dream. I am so glad that i clicked on this video of yours.
firstly, congrats! u def earned this! your inspirational talk did open my eyes a bit, its taken me ages to find what im passionate about. I always tried following in my brothers footsteps, never really taking a step back to ask "is this what i want?". With most inspirational talks, it always feels temporary, like i needed someone to tell me to do it, this time im going to follow my dream: cooking. I want to become a Michelin star chef eventually, although most of the time i tell myself thats impossible, that its a very small minority that gets to that level. Hopefully i prove myself wrong
edit: im also planning to apply to be a submarine chef in the navy, fingers crossed i get in
Sympathize heavy with losing your mother man ❤ Youre strong as hell for letting it propel you.
I went through similar and it's bogged me down for so long, but im finally finding a pattern of creating. Thanks for this video.
Appreciate the love, glad you made it through too! KEEP IT MOVING :)
I feel all the happiness of the world when I hear stories like yours congratulations wish you the best and I'm sure you will continue the path of improving yourself

We don’t know each other, but I’m really happy for you, Jesse! It’s been cool watching you achieve so much, and this whole message is really inspiring. Hopefully, I’ll get there too some day.
So proud of you man
HOping to be the same soon without burning out and hating what i am doing because of the rough journey

Thank you, It was so nice meeting you in France!
Awesome and very inspiring video, Jesse! ❤ I really needed to hear this as I struggle a lot at the moment, but I hope it'll get better. 🙏🏻
love
We are in the process right now.
👏👏 beautiful
Hell Yeah!
Firstly fx30 is clear as hell
Timing of this video is crazy, just got laid off from my first graphic design job, gf broke up with me. Scary but I know it will all work out - much love
Keep it moving! Only up from here, goodluck with everything.
you right, perro time to work hard
Hı Jesse. Your story inspires me. I'm a designer working in a company with little pay and no time for rest at all. However, it is so risky to start as a freelancer. It's very difficult to get your first job offer online. May I ask how long it took for you to get your regular job offers as a freelancer?
❤❤
im confused; did you buy the castle or are you just staying for a week? (anyways congrats on all the progress and development you've made. It seems like you're finally in a stable place)
I was wondering what your process was for finding a certain style, I’m new to graphic design but I have a few years of photography experience. I’ve found my photography style over time with practice, reps, and just figuring it out on my own. But I was wondering if you had a different or similar process for yourself?
Shoutout Mr. Murray
Most def!
5.45 minutes bottom left corner, creepy!!
i needed this, hearing all of these really means a lot! thanks jesse ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I´m 27 yo loser, I haven´t go to college, what can I do? am I lost?
Some of my classmates are in their 60s going to my University. It is never too late.
You're not lost! You don't need to go to university mate as long as you've got a bit of self motivation. Build a portfolio, learn what you love on the internet, copy/recreate designs you like. As long as you've got a strong portfolio and can showcase confidence with the main Adobe softwares you'll be good to go. I'm a 29 year old designer, been working in studios for 8 years now thanks to watching TH-camrs like this chap years ago. Portfolio is everything.
First of all you're not a loser, you're never too old to learn. It takes focus but you can set that up with your lifestyle.
