Thanks for bringing your movie camera and sharing this. I am Einar Ask, and grew up on the Agile. Ingvald was my dad. The Agile is in here for a second, tied up in Pelican. I would have been aboard, 18 or 19 years old. Carl Westby was a friend of my parents and my grandparents and I met his wife and kids in Norway in 1981. I stayed at with him at his house twice and he had a white double ended troller with Kolstrand gurdies on his own home built railway to haul out when at home. He must have been the only troller in Norway. I have slides of his boat there, and of him standing on a dock in Norway wearing his woolrich jacket. Just like we remember. He was one of a kind. Thanks again! :)
HI Einar, that is awesome, we might have run into each other on the boardwalk. I do remember the Agile. Several years after this footage, I owned the Marvel and fished mostly out of Sitka. I hope you have photos from your slides. The thing about this film is that it was converted to digital. Otherwise it would have sat in a box and stayed under a table and faded away never to see the light of day.
@@sanjuanartworkshops Everything I have was digitized, but even better I digitized my dad's slides and recorded him talking about them before he died: th-cam.com/video/-d5BB5Ztp6Q/w-d-xo.html

Thanks so much for sharing this, Annie! Brought back many of the wonderful memories of my adventure of 1983, some of it thanks to you, your hospitality & support. Always a treasured time in my life. 💗
I really love this, ty. we lived on the same dock in Sitka in the 80's, on the S/F/V Aries. it's so good to see the old boats again, and to hear your brave story.
Hi, Annie! Scott Boye just shared this with me. Brings back a lot of good memories from taking our Cape George 31, Laurel, from Friday Harbor to Glacier Bay and back. Love the connection between you and your parents. Also, Love the lines in those fishboats! Take care!😊
Cool this is my job today 😊oh my gosh some of these boats are absolutely still fishing. I see the Sword sometimes here in Yakutat where I live. Historic

I’m from Petersburg, I knew Ingvald!
Great videos and photos with your Dad, what a treasure for you.
I am going through old photos, I will post photos of the Agile I found!
Carl was the best troller ever
Watched it again, just for fun!😊
OMG-our Puma kitty and his infamous leash!!
Did you live in Elfin Cove? I think that is where I took this sequence.
@@sanjuanartworkshops yes we did
Hope you have photos from Elfin Cove you can post.
@@sanjuanartworkshops my mother took many photo’s over the years
Beautiful - Thanks for the wonderful story!
I recognize John Claussen a Pelican legend
Is it the fisherman in the frisco jeans and plaid red shirt gingerly stepping over the dock hose?

King numbers in the toilet; I'm going to play with a little Hoquiam idea and try and spin out some watercolors. Thank you for the video.

Very cool, didn’t know them, hope you enjoyed this little time capsule!
Annie...this brought back so many memories! I hope to meet you at Fisher Poets!

Sword was one of the best looking boats in the fleet.
Pelican looks the same lol
That is funny, except not all those boats are floating.
Hi Annie what a joy to watch do you happen to have this on DVD
Hi Kevin, No, I just made it from recently converted film to digital using video editor on computer....low tech.
