I think after the pandemic, similar to the mid 2000s recession, luxury brand logos in general have seen more disdain while most logomania looks would be considered outright tacky.
These days, since covid, logomania has definitely decreased. We're not as obsessed with extreme wealth or celebrities as we were 2-3 years ago. Just like after 2008. It's fun looking at older photos of rappers or actors wearing logos, but if I saw somebody on the street wearing these over the top outfits, I would think it tacky.
There must be a miscommunication; or someone is trying to rewrite history again. A plethora of the so-called high fashion brands stole their designs from Africa! The Versace Greco was pilfered from the Funbam Tribe in Cameroon, Louis Vuitton monogram was stolen from thr Queley Tribal mask, and other symbols were taken from the Congo, Damien Ebene was stolen from the Kwele & Kube Tribes, and Fendi,Balmain,etc., did it too! Not one of the anterior designers would have experienced the rebirth or existed if they had not stolen their designs from Africa, period! Dapper Dan revolutionized the fashion game with logos from the Motherland, but He's a genius who gave them credit and hired our ppl to transform your lethar😂gic, designs, period! Not one of the anterior faux fashion labels has given any of the anterior tribes credit or money for what they stole! Why do some Eurocentric ppl continue to prevaricate about African history?
