tbh i think primarks sizing is all over the place. its one of those shops that you can't just pick things up without trying them on, especially if you're in between sizes. the only things i get without too much thought is their pjs or oversized tshirts or hoodies
Usually the reason there’s not many larger sizes left is because they sell out so quick! It’s really frustrating but primark definitely carry a good range of plus sizes if you can get your hands on them ❤
I love you no matter what but just questioning, how are you okay with Primark and not shein, they do the same thing 😩

I’m from the UK & Primark sizing is impossible! I tend to just pick up things that look big enough & ignore the sizes

I was in Scotland last month and HAD to stop at Primark. This one seems a lot more organized than the one I went to in Edinburgh. I noticed that the tops were very oversized where the pants were smaller or more tts.They're actually opening a huge Primark in Downtown Brooklyn!
I loved the yellow cardigan with the corduroy skirt! I think it looked great as is.
Oh, and Primark is definitely known for their Disney merch - they have a special licensing agreement where there is some really unique stuff they sell!
I remember your last Primark video,I was hoping for one during this visit.Primark usually have plenty of 4,6,8 and 10's and usually only 1 or 2 size 18 or 20,or size 2XL.They often have racks and racks of 4 and 6's and 2XS and XS's and no other sizes
I'm from the UK and I find primark generally runs smaller but they do have some bargains.

Primark is one of those places you have to sift through the crap to get to the odd gem, especially in sizes (UK) 16-20.
We have a primark in Philly and I love it! I'm a size 12 most places and primark 12s(US size) fit me perfect! It's one of my fave stores to shop in because it's cheap and they have office appropriate clothes!
Australian here- do American stores not have the different colour coat hanger tabs? I was surprised when you pointed that out, that’s common here in Aus too!
At target, the sizes are color coded. Many places use a little circular piece of plastic around the metal prt of the hanger with the size on it (usually printed twice so you can see it above what’s on the hanger). I let allows stores to take them off and move them to another hanger (easy for them, but they look the same for us). And tons of places use nothing at all- lots of searching for tags ha
Target definitely has them! Probably other stores too, tbh haven’t bought clothes from an actual store in a couple years

The "UK sizes are two sizes bigger" thing is only true for very generously sized US sizes in my experience. Like, if you can sometimes wear a 14, but usually 16 in US, UK size of 18 is probably your "true size" (but then of course sizes can still be all over the place depending on individual items of clothing). This from personal experience and looking at size charts (I actually made a little excel spreadsheet thing to see my current size based on measurements and size charts across a variety of brands recently since I've been fluctuating 😂. The smallest size I fit in for US sizes + 2 sizes is typically my size for UK or Australian brands 🤷

No, that is literally how the size guides work. Variations are due to inconsistencies in sizing but the “rule” is 2 sizes difference
Primark is a step away from shein. Why would they bother on size consistency.

Primark is just now starting to open stores in the US which is probably why you thought there was only one! I think a few years ago the Boston one may have been the first. We have one in Philly now and I love it. Half my outfit today is from there lol. Though I feel like I can’t find my size often even though I’m a M there.
The sizing is weird. At the Miami Primark a UK 16 was a US 14. I feel like in this day and age we should have universal sizing.
Haven't even started this yet but Primark was the worst ever experience I've ever had in a fitting room 😅😅😅 I was also pregnant and emotional 🤣

I love the Simpsons range Primark have in the men's section,but often their 2XL's are so tight on me but elsewhere a men's XL fits me perfectly
There was one outfit I wanted sooooo badly during my UK trip at Primark and I went to about 4 or 5 different ones looking for my size because they were always out of the larger sizes lol
I also noticed the hangers didnt match the actual size of the item and also I saw a few things where the price tag size didnt mattch the garment tag size lol

I always think of Primark as the UK Forever 21
I live in Birmingham. We have the biggest Primark in the world here. It might be a good idea to check it out the next time you visit the UK.
I believe this is my local primark lol - i recognised it from the multistory at the end, the snippet of the home section & when you walked into the store. I always find it has a poor selection of sizing in there, but the home section is impeccable, it was fairly recently renovated and has furniture now! The sizing is completely all over the place - the jeans used to fit me perfectly (I'm a UK 10 in most stores), and then in the past year I would have to get a size UK 14 in their jeans and a 10 elsewhere. Yet somethings i have to size down in etc. It's very hit or miss. :)
I'm in Spain and we have primark here and it really depends on the item as to what the size is. I'm like a 14/16 US from things I've bought in Canada and the US but I've worn primark UK 14 to 20 clothes. I just dont look at size. Just grab a few and try on
Surprisingly I'm sure for you, primark doesn't sell online in the uk, it can get annoying when you can't get a size in your local shop and have to travel to another town to get something 😂😂

Yes! I’m from Boston and there’s a Primark in the downtown area here. Also one at a mall in Braintree which is like 15 mins south of Boston!

I’ve been in the UK for the past couple weeks and have gotten some great things from Primark but yeah as a US 14 there were lots of things not available in my size (maybe sold out?) or just had a strange fit from piece to piece. But I did score a black faux leather mini skirt for less than $10 that fits like a glove!
Pretty sure Primark doesn't give you the option to order online, shame that what's in the shop is what you get! The shopping experience gives me needle in a haystack vibes. Find something cute? Is it in your size? Does it ~actually~ fit? Is the quality ok (not see through/ badly designed/ loose seams)? Can't go wrong with some of the basics though :)
Primark sizes are all over the place, you could pick up two of the same item in the same size and have them fit differently
They do not have an online presence here in the UK. The cost to the company of shipping an item (picking the item in the warehouse, putting it in a bag, staffing etc) is about £3 per item so when you are buying inexpensive garments, it is just not cost effective for them.
In my experience size 16 (American) is a random size with no parameters. In periods of weight gain and loss I always seemed to be either an 18 or a 14 solidly, but I never found 16's that worked. I can see why you'd be a 14-16 because sometimes 16's are 14's. Sometimes they are slightly bigger. They never translate to a true plus sized 18 though. Trying to equate all this to another county's sizing has to be challenging.
In Aotearoa, like the UK, our average size is 16/18.
Our mainstream stores tend to go to a 14/16 with the odd 18 floating around in some. So yeah- 16/18 tends to be pretty quickly sold out.
i legit just thrifted a skirt similar to that corduroy one except mine has a dark floral pattern on it. it's from old target (mossimo) haha you could def try looking for something similar at the thrift or since it seems trending, i'm sure stores in the u.s. have them or will have them
When I went to Primark for the first time I was in Slovenia and I broke multiple hangers!! Definitely not just you 😂

Primark is literally all over the place when it comes to sizing! I’m a uk size 10 everywhere else but in primark I have to wear a 12 in jeans or trousers, but saying that I also fit into an 8 once but 10 was too small lol?? The tops in Primark in size 10 are usually so tight for me but most other places that is the perfect size.

That's what l hate about Primark now it on sale in the USA is the overwhelming American clothing range, l don't mind a few pieces here & there but currently way too much of it, most people in UK couldn't point out Michigan on a map. Whilst we don't get Oxford or Cambridge but get Greggs. 😒 No offence to you. ❤️

I worked at the 3rd ever primark in the US in Danbury, CT. Their sizes are all over the place and the pieces will either last 3 washes or forever. The experience is highly dependent on the store. If a primark is a mess shopping there is a nightmare, if it’s got it’s shit together it’s awesome

Never had an issue with Primark right off the rack here in NYC and I’m a 16.
Primark hangers breaks no matter who touches them , I was an prior employee, there hangers are weak
Primary is very hit and miss Carrie. Things are more expensive than a couple of years ago. Bright greens are definitely in at the minute and a lot of 60's styles.

A UK 16 is an American 14. It's definitely not 2 sizes difference Carrie.

Primark don’t have a website, that’s one of the ways they keep their prices low. The sizing is hit and miss with every type of clothing! And they ALWAYS have the 2XS sizes left over! You’d think they would order in more larger sizes wouldn’t you!
Maybe it depends on where you live but the larger sizes are always left over where I live. I have a much harder time looking for a s/m.
The camera going in and out made me feel seasick so had to skip those bits

i think i must just be really unlucky whenever i go to primark because i always find the clothes i want in a size M-2XL (I’m a 2xs-xs for reference) and i feel like all the clothes in my size are never in my styleeee, Primark also don’t have an option to deliver to houses and there’s no online shop to look through either x
Just an FYI, there's actually 13 stores in the US with 5 more opening in the next 6 months alone. Boston, NYC, Philly, Chicago, CT, NJ right now
There's a Primark in Danbury, Connecticut. Visited before the pandemic. Wasn't thrilled with the quality nor the lack of more generous sizing. Maybe I'll try again.
I'm from the UK 🇬🇧 and I really struggle in sizes, honestly some I can wear 3 sizes either way In certain ones!! It's frustrating 😒 so I know what you mean! Completely x
We have a huuuuge Primark in Fort Lauderdale, and I literally get ALL my pj’s and underwear from there, underwear SETS are $7!! I would say the sizing is odd, I’m generally a medium and have to get a small in pj’s as they’re big! If you can find one near you, or on your travels, it’s well worth a visit 😊😊

Im from Spain and I've been both shopping in the Uk ( I lived there) and in the US (just on holidays) and I would deff say that US sizes are bigger. Deffo bigger than Spanish sizes (we have a clear example: Zara) and I would say bigger than the UK. Primark sizes are sometimes bigger than the rest of the shops, but when I bought things in the US I had to size down all the time in almost every shop I shopped at. Also it's true that the availability of sizes in Primark is a nightmare when you are looking for a bigger sizes, but sometimes it's better to look at the product and not sizes

We have primary in Prague and as a size I think 14, I don’t have problems finding stuff, however nothing fits.. it has weird cut that if I button my pants, they do not fit like there is weird amount of fabric in the crotch area and then no fabric for butt and it’s just so weird, but tops fit me no problem at all and it is really affordable
We find it normal to wear American cities etc on our clothes, but we don’t understand Americans wearing stuff with their cities on. Would be like us walking around wearing a ‘Birmingham’ hoody 😅
Primark must think everyone's super tall because a lot of their clothes are taller than me. I'm not tall at 5'2 but Primark don't do a shortarse range.
A lot of stores petite ranges are 30" inside leg that's way too long.
My favourite store who's petite range starts at 27" is Next.

there are actually multiple primark locations in the usa now! the one in boston (i went there a few times in college haha) but also some in new york, new jersey, illinois, and pennsylvania
went to primark the other day after not going for years and am also in between US 14/16! and i could not find ANY bottoms that were a UK 18 apparently popular all around the world LOL. their sizing is so weird for all of the items - esp being in that middle size, 14 was too small, 16 was too big/oddly baggy in the front.
Just to let you know for the future, you can order stuff in from primark! I used to work there and did it all the time

I live In the UK and after watching many a primark haul and going into the stores..I've come to the conclusion that alot of women here are buying 2 3 or even 4 sizes bigger than their usual size as the oversized look is in fashion it seems over here..even if the item has been purposely made over sized for their size their still going larger.. I also feel that primark is alot more popular now on the highstreet than it use to be due to better clothing and less competition from other highstreet retailers going bust. My top top would be to go to primark first thing in the morning before it starts to get busy and the clothes are still fully stocked. Even the women are buying the mens clothes from all the hauls iv seen so they may struggle also to get clothes for that reason...and sadly yes you cannot get primark online either.
I would guess UK size 16 and around quickly gets sold out, as it's the average size.

There’s a primark in I believe Connecticut, and I’ve been there half a dozen times cause I live in NY and it’s a nice drive, they have a lot of stuff that’s cute there, however I don’t usually find things that fit me the way I want it to (I’m a 2x/3x). I definitely want to go back there someday soon.

There is one in Sunrise, Florida (Sawgrass Mall) I really loved the Disney stuff among all the other cute clothes.
