Nice stuff! I especially liked when you had all all three going together at the end. It gives an extra dimension to the standard doubling sound, in a good way.
thank you for making these! found you a couple weeks ago and inspired me to make the final call on a tascam 414. my dad's band recorded on reel to reel then later these portastudios so talking about these techniques has been a nice bonding for both of us as well
this comment is amazing! i'm stoked to hear that you're getting into this and bonding over it. I've been learning so much from the elders because, duh, they know more than me.
@@MadeOnTape yeah i've had a few surgeries to fix my hearing. But all to no avail. Ive been recording for many years on analog cassette multitrack recorders. I use the tascam 488mk1 8 track machine which has a really clean and noise free record and playback.
thanks for your video here! i just bought a cassette recorder at goodwill that has varispeed, cant wait to try utilizing this effect! thanks again.

Thank you for sharing!! I swear this portastudio is bringing out something in me, creatively speaking...
amazing! it certainly has that effect!
Cool! I'm working on a Pitch Wheel shenanigans video, you've just given me 6th use. Stealing this! 😄
I stole it from Geoff Emerick!
@@MadeOnTape I feel like everything regarding music is a bit about stealing (or borrowing) 😀
I am so using that trick for backing vocals!
an oldie but a goodie! Reading the Geoff Emerick book inspired this video...there's a LOT in there to be inspired by!
Thanks for sharing this video. What a great sound. Like you I am partially deaf but on my right ear. But hey the sound you have is bright and punchy.
the engineer Vance Powell (Jack White) has a bum ear too. it’s good to know others who do music like this
