In her speech, she said that she went to her mother with her concerns that she wasn't worthy of such an award because other recipients had important positions in life and she was just a musician. Her mother reminded her of the many times people have contacted them with stories about how they were sad and depressed and Pau's music had saved them. Mom was right.

There's a lot of people that don't understand depression and don't really give a hoot, It can be a terrible disease And if you have no one to help you with it it makes it even worse.
I don't know how it turned out this way but I feel like the sisters have saved my life, Paulina and her ballads always hit the sweet spot.
Start getting emotional before she even starts, I love her to the moon and her sisters.

Pau is an inspiration. She's just a R&R drummer and then they hear her play the piano and sing like an angel. Women astronauts, doctors, and CEO's were in awe.

The significance of this award really deserves more publicity and respect around the world among musicians… How many other rock groups have a member with this under their belts?

Thank you, Glenn and Adrian. In my opinion, "Black Holes" has the best lyrics that Paulina has written so far, because the topic is difficult and extremely sensitive for many people, and she approached it in a realistic and compassionate way.
That was THREE gut punches in a row! You’re right, Taylor Swift’s solo, piano version of this song was featured on the Eras tour. It’s a devastating song in its own right, and I can’t help but wonder if it has special resonance for Pau as she finds herself more and more enmeshed in the rock star life.
💯 Pau could do a solo piano album & it would be fantastic. It might kill me listening to it 😭 but I’d have it on repeat until it did! (& Dany doing an acoustic guitar album?… instant world peace)

This year it was welcomed by two women who have set standards around the world: Paulina Villarreal, Mexican songwriter, vocalist and drummer of The Warning, who was recently named the best rock drummer in the world; and Diana Trujillo, Colombian aerospace engineer, NASA Flight Director who marked the callsign “Somos Flight.”

Pau puts her own emotions into that cover which IMHO is what grabs you. That’s the difference between an artist who covers and one who makes it her own. Her performance of 23 live at Teatro Metrapolitan is an excellent example of an artist emoting while singing beautifully and drumming, mind blowing. Thanks Monica and Luis for putting your wonderful daughters in music emersion at a young age! Viva The Warning!

I'm sure in later years when she and her sisters will have families and kids, Pau will be a writing poet, a famous film director and a music professor at a university. And she will be releasing music with her sisters every now and then.
Since they’re both on the same label, a Taylor Swift/The Warning collaboration would be interesting. And it’s not all that far-fetched to see her taking TW out on tour. Paramore opened a few shows of the Eras Tour.
I’m not a big Taylor fan, but I’d love to see her do a cover of Stalker from Queen Of The Murder Scene.

What you say, Glenn and Adrian, about Paulina's independent work is not an isolated idea. For example, an Italian punk rocker and TH-camr once said that Paulina should start a side project to The Warning with her own band, where she would be the frontwoman. It doesn't seem likely to me at all because of how close the Villarreal sisters are and the busy schedule they have. But maybe in 10 years it will be different.
Yes, I was thinking in the long term! One life event for any of them might mean a little time for other projects, even temporary.

In an interview she joked about getting crap from her sisters because she tends to use the same chords a lot (Pau chords). I never noticed the rhythm but I know nothing about music.
Once the audio clips, there is not much you can do about it (much like over exposing an image - information is lost). Regardless, a great performance.
