Wow, you sure put a lot of thought into this! These are all great choices for Hanna-Barbera character reps, but if I may, I'd like to share two ideas of my own. Huckleberry Hound: He has worked a wide variety of jobs in his cartoons, so he can have a moveset to reflect that. He can use his many different personas in his attacks, such as when he was a policeman, a cowboy, a mailman, and so on. The weapons he can use can go in tandem with these roles. He can also have a special move where he can sing to stun his opponents, and use his hat like a boomerang. Top Cat: He's a favorite among many of my online friends and they'd really love to see him in the game. He can use his trash can lids as a weapon, and he can use his love of golf as a means of a projectile. For a special move, he can summon his entire alley cat gang to jump into the battle and attack the opponent, sort of like Shulk's Final Smash in SSB. Both would probably fit best in the mage class.
thank you so much for the shout out!!! :D I'm very passionate about Scooby, and i would love for him to get in the game, whether they use my build or not. (btw, to the viewers, i know my art says @Scoob4MVS, but i have changed it since i made the piece. it is indeed @TuskieWuskie who made the art, and that is me! (: Thanks again Naterz! love your videos!
Finally someone else who recognizes how underutilized Hanna-Barbera is in this game. Given their history not only with Warner Bros but animation as a whole (whether that be a good or bad thing is up to you), I was disappointed that we didn't have at least 3 in by now. I don't really count Tom and Jerry as HB characters, while they were created by Hanna and Barbera, they were pretty much associated with MGM until Turner got the lion's share of that company's work. I'm not sure why Scooby wasn't in the base roster to begin with. He's iconic and as shown with the moveset you put in your video, he has a lot of potential. I'm suspecting that they're holding him off because they don't want to throw all their greats in early so people will have to pay for them later. That's also the reason why it took so long for Joker to be added and why Daffy Duck hasn't shown his billed face yet. If Scooby-Doo was the most neglected of Hanna-Barbera's lot in Multiversus, Fred Flintstone and Yogi Bear both tie as a close second. Seriously, the impact and versatility alone should've pushed them up higher on Warner's priority list. I could see Fred utilizing the various tools cobbled from prehistoric animals (it's a living!) and maybe have him drive a car with his feet like Wario's bike, it's appeared in the intro and was mentioned in the theme song after all. Yogi's gimmick involving pic-a-nic baskets is inspired, and perhaps pulling out boxing gloves that he had in an episode. Dick Dastardly is the main villain of Hanna-Barbera overall, and the only feasible Wacky Races character that could become playable. I would say that if he were to fight it would be alongside Muttley in some kind of machine like a car or plane, similar to Plankton and Bowser Jr. The movie "Scoob" made him some form of mechanic with robotic minions he could sic at foes, so that could be fun to pull from. I've heard Grape Ape get thrown around a few times in discussions surrounding the roster, but not at a consistent rate. I would like to see him in somewhere (a possible assist if they ever remember that items exist) but at least a skin over King Kong makes sense if we're pulling from the DC continuity. Not many people remember Grape Ape so adding him as this premium skin could stir up intrigue. What Flintstones could do with the far past a Jetsons rep could to for the far future. I'd say that while Elroy could prove to be a very good lightweight, a recent stream by Source Gaming convinced me that Rosie would make for the most unique moveset. I could see Rosie playing up both the sci-fi and 60's maid themes into something like Kirby's Cleaning ability. Besides, this game only has one robot (Agent Smith is moreso an AI program, not really having a physical presence outside the Matrix). Playing up the Banana Splits' more menacing and twisted aspects they've gained over the past few years would be a good way to set them apart. With Bingo being the most recognizable out of this banana bunch, it's definitely him that's taking the slot. Secret Squirrel is a perfect character to make a Mage class out of. He could be a lightweight character with emphasis on zoning. I'd also want Atom Ant to tag along, we don't really have a fighter that's as small as the Iron Giant is big (although I'd want Osmosis Jones to fill that niche as well). Space Ghost is the glue between Hanna-Barbera, Cartoon Network and Adult Swim, so he'd technically represent 3 branches of WB at once. Given how much of his recent outings have solidified his character, I could see him getting that as the default personality with his abilities from the original Space Ghost being attacks. Maybe get a Brak announcer pack as well, because lord knows Andy Merrill needs some stability. Perhaps Harvey Birdman could join as well, with a moveset inspired by Phoenix Wright in MvC. Hanna-Barbera has a lot of other characters they could make good movesets for. Quick Draw McGraw, Hong Kong Phooey, Top Cat, Jabberjaw, The Herculoids, Swat Kats, even someone like Scrappy-Doo could be given another push into popularity. With such a grandstanding legacy and catalog I'd say it's only a matter of time before one of them gets in.
I really love the idea of having Muttley and Dick ride in a car like Bowser Jr. I think that that’s awesome! And I do agree that I think Rosie could have a really neat moveset, I’m just a bit biased towards Elroy.
Thank you! I’ve definitely considered a third party video. The problem is that I would be super biased as third parties are super vague. I might try it in the future!
This is especially cool for me since I grew up watching some of these shows on Tooncast, I'd love to see many of these characters. Next, I'd like to see which WB animated characters could get in, excluding DC and others. Like Green Eggs and Ham, Tiny Toons Looniversity or the Animaniacs
They could reference so many series that have dogs and look similar to Scooby Doo by having them as skins for Scooby. Even the DC League of Super-Pets could pretty much serve as inspiration for new costumes as soon as Scooby Doo makes it into the game. Still, I would like to see Dick Dastardly and Muttley here
Here's my top 10 wishlist of Hanna-Barbera characters for MultiVersus 1. Scooby-Doo 2. Fred Flintstone 3. Yogi Bear 4. George Jetson 5. Space Ghost 6. Dick Dastardly 7. Jonny Quest 8. Huckleberry Hound 9. Quick Draw McCraw 10. Secret Squirrel
Scooby feels perfect for season 3 due to the whole Scoobtober event alongside the upcoming comic. As for Fred’s bowling move, just for a bit of fun you could make it a command grab and have him bowl the opponent, it would legitimately be funny to see Fred use the iron giant as a makeshift ball. I still want Spike (With Tyke) as the obvious second T&J rep, make him a reverse of T&J’s dynamic where if you lose Tyke (instead of dying like Jerry, Tyke just gets scared and hunkers down), Spike becomes enraged doing more damage and knockback, at the cost of being more of a glass cannon and losing combo potential with Tyke helping out.
Scooby will most likely coming when one of the new shows debut. Fred, Yogi, Dastardly and Muttley are the essentials after Scooby and Tom & Jerry but id love to see others like Jabberjaw, Rosie, Dynomutt to name a few
Imagine QuickDraw McGraw mostly projectile fighter with six shooter but with a down special (like smash bros brawl Zelda/sheik ) to switch to el kabong with a different guitar melee move set
I have no idea if this will help you in a future video but it occurred to me and I wanted to share it with a Billy moveset from Gremlins for Multiversus, first I would have the sword he used in the first movie, I could also use the bat he uses in the fight with stripe, he could randomly pull out his father's invention and it would malfunction in some way, the egg breaker could spill eggs everywhere or the orange squeezer could make a big orange juice spash, he could detonate a gas pipe with fire like He did it to explode the cinema, he could also have a Parry attack, he would cover himself with a radio and if someone attacked him the radio would explode in his face like with his fight with Stripe in the first movie, he could also have an attack where he takes out a phone and this would be the electric gremlin from the second movie, also in both movies he wears enough clothes to put on several skins, that occurs to me right now but surely more can be done with him such as him having a passive of some kind
i may be freaking stupid for saying this, but i actually want the Banana Splits (especially from the movie.), to be in the game. they could be in the horror category along with Jason, while Bingo holds an axe like in the movie poster. but other than that, these character requests are pretty understandable.
Im surprised no one has thought about some Scooby Doo villains getting into the game, the Scooby Doo rogues gallery is huge and filled with unique characters, like imagine the Tar Monster or the 10,000 Volt Ghost as characters like how they were in Monsters Unleashed
I really want one of Scooby's moves to involve the barrel which would act would play similar to Velma's side attack where she runs towards people and grabs them, but unlike Velma's, Scooby's would have more knockback.
Wally Gator is my most wanted character for the game, i have big nostalgia with this character. You can put the boat he uses in the opening of his show as his side special, and then the water thrown by the boat can heal allies. Mr. Twiddle needs to be in his moveset too, maybe as a command grab, instead of catching Wally he catch nearby opponents. Oooo i can't forget the skin potential he has, since he disguises a lot. Unfortunately i don't see many requests for him and there are much more deserving Hanna Barbera characters that still need to be included.
Hey, you missed a good amount of Hanna Barbera characters, like Jabberjaw, Captain Caveman, Speed Buggy, and the Funky Phantom. Watch that season 1 episode of Scooby Doo Mystery Inc. There was literally a reunion of said classic HB cahracters, two of them (Jabberjaw and Speed Buggy) voiced by the great Frank Welker, who is way overdue to provide his voicework in Multiversus (unless he doesn't have the voice to perform as Stripe the Gremlin) if Scooby Doo winds up actually making it. If they can get Welker for Nick All Star Brawl and Nick Kart Racers 3, he should still be available for Multiversus. It wouldn't be fit without his voice. Also, Droopy Dog (another character Frank voiced) from the Tom & Jerry cartoons should be in the game. And maybe some of the Wacky Racers as well!
Elroy Jetson is certainly a choice I did not expect for H-B fighters. Granted, everyone aside from Scooby, Fred, and Yogi are unexpected to some degree. However, Inspector Gadget for MultiVersus? I didn't even consider him as a viable guest choice, and he's owned by the studio that has Johnny Test and Rocky & Bullwinkle in their catalog. I kinda thought Dynomutt would be your Gadget expy for this video, though. If you're gunning for ideas, maybe a video detailing Wildbrain characters would be neat. You can add the aforementioned Gadget, Test, and Bullwinkle, but there's loads more options from there.
Here's my pick: Razor and T-Bone aka SWAT Kats. They could work like Pyra and Mythra from Smash Ultimate, you can swap between Razor and T-Bone by pressing the down special
This is gonna be interesting, but I honestly liked the idea of one of the characters from Scooby Doo: Ghoul School getting in. It would be cool. Edit: I also have a prediction the NEXT “who should get in” video will be Looney Tunes centric.
You know, the participation of these characters would also be good. Robot Boy Gumball Johnny Test And Hugh Test the original Johnny Test series is from Warner
For Hanna Barbera I think of course Scooby Doo and Fred Flintstones as my main wants. Fred and Daphne should perhaps at some point far in the distant future before the collapse of the game get their chance too, just to round it out. Rosie the robot is such a weird concept that I’d be down with it. But honestly I don’t feel like we need any Jetsons personally. Wacky Races either Dick & Muttley or Penelope Pittstop and last of all for H-B I’d love Captain Caveman.
5:22 If King Kong does come into WB Multiverses. The Trailer would have Bugs Bunny saying I will cut the rope and then King Kong pulls the rope to push Bugs Bunny over.
I think iconic ness sadly doesn’t factor decisions as we got bannana guard and not Daffy Duck. But Hana Barbara characters I’d like would be Scooby, Fred flintstone
Do Cartoon Cartoons count? If not, then I say Scooby-Doo, Yogi Bear and Fred Flintstone are my top ones. Oh, and let's not forget Space Ghost and Harvey Birdman.
Im currently close to top 100 jason in ones Lol guys i need someone who can foght jack I need someone with range I need some funny voice lines Its time for duck dodgers
