We are empty nesters. We wash and dry our dishes by hand. We buy a large bottle of Dawn every three months. We don’t buy any processed food that we can make our own from scratch. Hasn't always been like this, but we are enjoying it now.
I love your hauls. You shop as much as I do for the month. I usually go to 3 to 4 stores for our monthly stock up and spend about $400 in one day. We are a family of 6 with kids a little older but wd spend around $600 or so total for the month.
That’s awesome Carina! I’ve been off my game with grocery totals and such with this pandemic but planning to get back on track now.
We have a Costco membership only right now. We get most of our meat from the frozen section there because it is a little cheaper and much easier to store for us. We also try to get our toilet paper, paper towels, and bottled water there because it is cheapest for the quality without dealing with coupons. And I was able to find hand soap refills and body wash there last month when nowhere had it.
We haven’t gotten a Costco close to us just yet. We were supposed to get one in March but there have been some delays. I’m looking forward to getting into one soon!
Recycle tip for used batteries: Put dead ones in container under kitchen sick. When full, bring them to Home Depot and put them in recycle bin (call store first to make sure they take them). I was thrilled to find out they recycled them 😊

Just found your channel and subbed bc I liked it so much. We have Sam's and Costco in Delaware where I live that are in opposite directions but equal in distance. I noticed that Sam's club was significantly lower. This just makes me wanna go get their membership now. We have a King Bed and that is an amazing price on Bedding. Ty so much! I 💖 your honesty about eating different things. Darn right. It is only natural! Esp kids will be kids. A little junk never hurt anyone as far as food is concerned. Esp in moderation. So eat whatever you want! Looking forward to watching your videos 💖💖💖💖

Hey there, love your channel. I know you said they did not have it but I absolutely love the rebel ice cream over the halo one. Also as far as blood sugar goes I find that the halo one raises my blood sugar where the rebel one does not seem too. I just love the way the rebel ice cream has the consistency of regular ice cream

How do you make your food last, do you freeze it. Examples for produce?
So for produce, it usually lasts us about two weeks fresh from these huge hauls. If we have items like celery or something like that getting soft, I will chop and freeze. Same with fruits too. Then we can use in other recipes. Then I do smaller weekly hauls and will get more produce then.

If you have a Trader Joe’s near you they have a wide variety of dried veggies and fruits... They do have pineapple by itself. 🙂

Trader Joe’s has tons of fruit and veggies. My extremely picky child loves the freeze dried broccoli. I have to buy 4 bags a time since it’s a drive for me. For the basic freeze dried things like apples, peaches and strawberries go to dollar tree

Whole Foods sales a lot of different dried fruits. Unsure if they have freeze dried fruits.

hummus is easy to make you should try it and it tastes way better lol cheese freezes really good even the cubes
Yes we freeze lots of cheese! I always forget about making my own hummus! That sounds like a fun thing to try!
What do you do with your riced cauliflower? I have been wanting to try but not sure what to make
I basically use it anyway I would use regular rice. For instance, this month I plan to use it as a side with just some butter and garlic added, a substitute for rice in my fried rice, and then whatever else we may want it for. Hope that helps!
I use the same detergent. I pour the detergent into a glass pitcher.
Does it have a spout?
Brady Browning it did but then the detergent wouldn’t come out so I took the cap off. It’s just a regular glass pitcher meant for lemonade etc

I saw some freeze-dried pineapple at my Big Lots I don't know if yours will have it but mine had it. And all else fails you can always order it online.

Hey Becky! We are in the middle Tennessee are around Nashville. But it’s so strange because there’s another Sam’s club near us about 20 mins in the opposite direction and they have totally different products than my sams club I usually shop at. It’s so strange!
i would have got 5 packs or more of the salmon it would cost me 20 plus for it here in Canada fish is horrid here ........... if you want to change things up take the capri sun juices and put them in the freezer then on a hot day you can pull them out as a treat big frozen pop cycle kind of like a lolla hugssssss
If we had the extra freezer space available, I definitely would have gotten more salmon too! Such a good price!
