Thanks for covering this! This is the first time I checked out your channel. I rarely buy clothing on Amazon unless it's a basic that I need that I can't find inexpensively anywhere else. A lot of influencers who buy Amazon clothing are buying brands they could find elsewhere rather than the Amazon Basic brand which is probably why their hauls look decent. I had a hard time finding unpadded, but nipple concealing T-Shirt bras until I found Delimira bras on Amazon. I was shocked at how good they were - similar quality to Wacoal - my favorite brand. Other things I've bought are silk underlayers, silk sashes and belts. I certainly wouldn't buy my entire wardrobe on Amazon though because the overall clothing quality isn't that great, and you will definitely end up wearing what "everyone else" is wearing if you do that.
Welcome! Yes! And depends on the basic too. Amazon does carry other brands that are more well known but I find that what people tend to be purchasing on Amazon, are the unknown, one off brands that aren't making good stuff. Another great spot for inexpensive basics is Uniqlo, clients swear on their tees. I personally prefer my basic tees from J Crew and Abercrombie.
Goodness, I'm too honest to be able to make anything look 'cute' that doesn't. As a stylist, I always have to remind clients as they get frustrated with their body or what they buy that 'It's not you!' It's the clothes always, promise!
It amazes me how many people I know that do all their clothes shopping on Amazon. I guess they like what they buy or else they are just settling for anything because it is easy and quick. I have never found anything from Amazon in terms of clothes, that I loved or even liked. There is one exception...a bathing suit of all things. I absolutely love it. Fits well and good quality. 😊
Oh yea, I work with people that shop A LOT from Amazon. They keep buying it because it's easy 😆 I just worked with a client last week who has been shopping from Amazon since COVID and she wears her things but feels frumpy and not put together. It took her 4 years to contact me to finally buy clothes she ACTUALLY liked and she said, 'I just wasted 4 years of shopping for all the wrong things. I should of just called you up 4 years ago." LOL!
I am a big fan of 2 methods: 1. hanging all of my hangers one way at the beginning of the year and flipping them the other direction if I wear the item. If I don't touch it throughout the year, it's time to donate. 2. Can I wear one item in any different outfits? 3. I'm a big fan of thredup. I was buying a lot of clothes through styling services. I loved all the pieces I kept but it was very expensive. I vowed not to buy any "new" clothes this year but have still gotten amazing quality second hand pieces.
Ohhhh yes, doing the hanger technique is so helpful, I find clients also start to move them to the back of their closet too 😆 AND yes, multiple outfits with pieces is super important. The only exception is 'formal' or 'event type' looks but you can still rewear them to different events. Yes to Thredup! It is more of a process. I find the best ones are from clothing you already tried on in person, then wait a few months and refind it on a resale store like thredup so you get the right piece without wasting money on buying things that don't work.

OMG thank you for this video! I never understood how Amazon fashion was trending 😂

Same here! The only clothing I have ever purchased from amazon is a bathing suit.
@@kimberlyf4888 sounds like the bathing suits are a win 🙌 I’ll have to do a try test for spring next year and share the results
the only things i buy on amazon : sports gear, shorts and tops, the rest is crap quality
Agreed, I buy a lot of 'stuff'. Things to organize the house, or my favorite popcorn 😆
