Yeah I think I'd rather have a white marseilles over the kathleens black it was supposed to be. Which I'm pretty sure is what it is after talking with a few people. :)
Thanks! I have a lattarula to compare but it hasn't fruited but hopefully will get some fruits from it this season and will see. Hope it's Marseilles White. :)
That is a cool looking fig...One question, unrelated to fig. Can I store organic eggs in the fridge? Or do they need to stay out? I got two dozen eggs from my father in law.
I also have a yellow unknown. I have lattarula it looks like yours. Even the leaves. I picked the first couple when it was squishy and they were bland. When I let it ripen until I saw sugar spots and it felt like jelly, wow. Closed eye even with a lot of rain. I wish I knew what it was. I bought it as a tissue culture last year. Supposed to be a VDB. Tiny little thing. The leaf pattern looks similar to a RDB just not as long fingers. It grew huge and produced a dozen figs. The company doesn’t answer my emails. It’s a medium to large fig, yellow with amber inside. One of the best I ever tasted if you have patients and let it ripen properly. I’m thinking either white Madeira or excel. The company was called old world tropicals so it’s possible. I just got a white Marseilles air layer to compare next year. Let yours go longer before picking. Even my lattarula tasted way better when I waited. And my lattarula has a closed eye and didn’t split. Awesome fig also.
Having a problem with wasps this year. they seem to really like this particular variety and my Takoma Violet. I have a lattarula in ground to compare with it but it hasn't produced any fruit yet. :(
I also have an in ground lattarula that I'll be getting breba from for the first time this year. Will see how they compare. Though my mystery fig doesn't have any breba this year. :(
Thomas Jeffersons favorite fig that he brought back from France.
oh yeah I read about that! :)
So exciting! I love unexpected surprises. Good ones of course... Thanks for sharing.

Looks and sounds exactly like my Marseilles White!

The photo of the italian honey fig on burpee looks exactly the same a.k.a lattarula ... they can vary I spose
Yeah it's possible that's what it is. I wanted to compare it with my in ground lattarula but it died back over winter and is slowly recovering.

Any eggs can be stored in the fridge. Only unwashed eggs can be stored outside of the fridge.
Looks identical to my white marseille fig in the U.K
It’s probably a honey fig
That's a good possibility!
Nice fig. I love the scale. Where can I find one like that?
It's a Timemore gram scale. We got it on Amazon: amzn.to/31bUVeB
@@gapey thank you
