    Chris I worked thirty five years in the Plumbing and refrigeration trade serving five years as an apprentice and taking state exams for my Journeyman then three years to become a Master Plumber. I say this hoping your young barber's starting out watching your video's learn from you and being patient knowing in time they will become successful in their trade as you most certainly are on top of your field. You are a very impressive young man. I speak from being an old man now retired from a rewarding trade that was very rewarding doing hospitals to high rise buildings in Alabama. The advice you so freely give to mentor people speaks to your confidence and I commend you as a professional barber. I know your parents are really proud of you! Just wished you lived in my home town you would certainly be my barber.. Great cut! You have a bright future ahead of you.

    The 1A and the 0A blades are the secret weapons for detachable blade fading /tapering, as you have shown in this well crafted video. Because they are a small increment they work well taking out the lines.

      @bricasrbia 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Rick Atkinson haha sometimes I feel so lonely on TH-cam cause 99% of batber tutorials use plastic guards.That comment of yours is pure truth.Once I discovered 1A fades got much better

    • @alrossi2573
      @alrossi2573 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I never knew about the 1A blade until about 3 years into my barbering career. A 70+ year old barber that I worked with, cut the best fades so I asked him his secret. He saved me! Now 20 something years later, the 1A is still my savior! Especially when you use the corners of the blade and stretch the scalp to dig out those shadows! I never use plastic guards. I’ve tried but can never get used to them.

    Well done!!!! I’ve been cutting for 22 yrs... all of my fades r done with detachable blades... I love the oyster octane... cuts ur time in half if u perfect the technique... for a bald fade I just throw on the 00000... then the 1 blade... flick the line out in between... then go right to the 2 blade... clipper over comb the bulk... then down fade!!!!! Can’t miss!!! Perfect every time!!!!!💈💈💈💈💈

    It would be nice to see a new detachable video.its something I hardly see barbers use anymore but it is definitely some of the cleanest looking fades.

    Great video, well done!
    I use almost exclusively an Oster Model 10 and Titan, with the full range of blades. As you stated, the blades do add up, but are worth the investment. I think keeping the detachable blades organized, is the key to success. I keep my blades organized and in order in a Laube blade box. When I pull off one blade it goes back into the box. No hunting around the counter top for blades. There aren't enough videos demonstrating the utility of detachable blades. Your video is very helpful. Nicely done!

    Great video man. I'm just getting into detatchables now, got a 000, 1, 2 and 3 1/2 and I'm gonna add to them over time. I'm loving the difference, how easy they are to use on damp hair too.

    i quickly fade from top tp bottom with detachable Clippers and then I'll use something like a Wahl Senior and I can knock out any lines with my 1, 1/2 and no guard. But that's on white guy hair... a little trick is just keep the heel of the blade flat on the scalp and go straight up. As the head rounds, those blades will do all the blending for you. If somebody wants a high and tight I'll go right in with the #1 blade high and flat on the scalp , up and down and it fades itself then you just hollow out the bottom what the same angle of the blade but with a lower blade. I often skip many blades doing it this way

    hey chris thanks again for your videos. I for one appreciate the video commentary wink. I think your a great barber and you've made me better as a amateur Barber. now that being said with this cut. I'm not sure if you went back after the video cause I know you usually go back to cross check but in the video I saw some not so even spots on the clients fade. Is that something that happens often with those kind of Clipper/blade combos or am I off in what I'm saying and it's just lighting and camara angles? Thanks again Arsenio

    • @Bossiocuts
      @Bossiocuts  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +BrooklynBeast Lopez thx man! No didn't go back that was the finished product.. blades should give you a more even cut .. but not every canvas is perfect. This particular client has patches of red hair believe it or not when it grows out .. like his beard will grow red as well. That may be what your seeing but all in all I think it's even he's been coming back for about 3 years so that kind of makes me feel like it's his hair lol hope that helps

    Just copped the shave gel can't wait to use. Yo chris, whats the best lightweight wireless hair cutter, or just wired but lightweight clipper you recommend? I remember you said osters are light. The ZRs and Masters are way too heavy when you're cutting your own hair.

    • @Bossiocuts
      @Bossiocuts  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      You start very low.. not quite bald on sides but just above that. It's pretty much stubble like a 5 on clock shadow.. where if you start bald on the sides it's a bald fade

      Its the lambo of clippers compared to a honda clipper, they cost way more than all the lever clippers for reason, better blend results, easier if u have all the blades, and closer to scalp
