Yes! It makes such a difference to not watch TV. We have followed the recommendations as much as possible for our daughters, and they are thriving (3&5 yrs). Also, how has it already been six months in your new home?!
We have been screen free during the week for the last 6 months and only have it on weekends as family movie time etc. It has helped so much even doing that step. How long did you find it difficult for the little ones to get over the "addiction", did it take a couple of weeks?
That seems like a great balance! I think the littles took at least a month or so to not cry over wanting it. I can't remember now unfortunately, just that it was hard. Pediatricians often recommend gradually cutting back screen time, starting with limiting use to specific periods and then introducing more screen-free days. Some Australian experts suggest that the first 1-2 weeks of reduced screen time can be the most challenging for toddlers, especially if they have been accustomed to regular screen use.

It's crazy how fast it all flies. We are thankful for the lifestyle change, it helped us to make a conscious choice :)
