Easily one of best people to demo pedals hands down. The two I trust the most on TH-cam: Andy and Pete. Anyone that knows guitar and gear knows this is fact. 😂
@@duffdunlap6705 Whatever Pete is doing, it sounds way better than Dan and Mick - in the audio sense! Pete's videos always vibrant, full sounding, you almost know why something costs an arm'n'leg while D&M are dry, dull... Nothing pejorative, both Dan and Mick are cool dudes, amazing knowledge and skill but I think they just strayed away from the essential meaning of a pedal demo, hence That Pedal Show - it's not much about pedals any more. As with Pete, Shawn still retains the vibe - excellent sounding demos, hats down, Pete and Shawn are my go to when it comes to pedal soundchek.
To be perfectly honest, I click on Pete's videos not to check out only the pedal, but also to listen to his music at the beginning of the video. Great song writing ability.
Love a good OD pedal into an already dirty amp and bringing it to the edge of out of control, then backing the guitar volume down a few notches for that sustained pushed tone, sounds like that pedal would do that and obviously much more. Pete, you deliver the best 10 minute reviews & cover more ground than others that want you to just listen to them solo forever & not give you any background info on what they're playing through, what the base tone is, etc. or go through half the knob twists that you demo. I have no idea how long it takes for you to put one of these reviews together, and I'm sure you've become extremely proficient at them, but thank you for all of the time you take to do such a thorough job every time explaining so much, and of course your very inspirational riffs! You never sound cliche, always original. Thanks brother!
Man if I ran a pedal company it would be an honour to have this man review my gear. Every video just oozes quality and makes me want the product. Well done mate 👏
Goosebumps & tears in the first 90 seconds: Music is a weapon! No wonder you´re drowning in requests of the manufacturers. But do them, us & yourself a favour: Enjoy all days off and all holidays that you need to keep fresh, hungry & healthy clean. Talent like yours won´t be forgotten, because you let your instruments "sing" in a quality to crave for - comparable to heroes like Jeff Beck... Cheers, Marco :-)
Once again, the best demo of any out there…thank you Pete… although I have to say, every time I watch you demo something I buy it.. you’re costing me money buddy, but I love it!
Welcome back Pete and I hope you enjoyed your vacation. Great Tones and Playing As Always. The Orange Suhr Guitar is a Really Nice One. And Cool A Pedal from Canada.
Fantastic demo as always. As nice as that pedal is, though, there are 2 unsung heroes in this video. One is obvious immediately - you are one heck of a fantastic musician. The other thing though... That straight clean tone on the PT15 is godly. Wow. Nicely done all around! Great to have you back, Pete! Hope you had fun!
I just got the G3 -- that pedal is beastly and has gain in spades. Really sounds incredible and I can dial in a tone almost spot on to my Bad Cat Lynx's gain channel while running though it's clean channel. Crazy. That said, I think I'll pick up the G2 to fill out the front end of the gain spectrum.
Solid haircut!!!.........man- I need one myself!........I am on the fence with this pedal ...... convince me beyond the normal bells n whistles - what were u surprised the most about it ?????.....
My fav modes are drive switch off and blue, and with the eq it's just possible to get all the way from transparent clean boost to quite amp-like drive although it's overdrive, not distortion. So it works well with the Strat for example to just add some push and level with a hint of drive, and the 3 band eq allows you to really tailor the tone for whatever you plug into (mores than a simple tone control)
I mean these sound great, but so do like 1000 other overdrive/distortion pedals. Marshall Guv’nor, ProCo Rat, EHX Big Muffs, and all are less expensive.
I wouldn't buy a rootbeer colored axe myself, but damn that suhr is fucking beautiful. does anyone know his signal path, or at least what piece of I/O he uses to connect to the computer?
@@PeteThorn thanks!! I just found your streams two sundays ago, ill be back again this weekend too! I asked about the CAA OD-100 last weekend, I checked the fuse and it was fine so I actually took it to a shop this week. thanks again
How much of your demo music is created specifically for that particular piece of equipment? I've commented before on your musicianship, but I'm curious if you take bits and pieces and apply them at times, or if a majority of the music offs organic and inspired solely in the moment of prep for the shoot?
That closeup of the pedal after the Strat section ... layout looks a lot like the Joyo American Sound pedal I have, with a switch instead of a blender (case shape and jacks are different). Curious now if you have a Joyo and can A/B the two? Here's the Joyo in action th-cam.com/video/9Uo6gmOIduM/w-d-xo.html

Yes but don't forget about Mike Hermanns, they are the power trio!!!
@@pyropedals5553 All 3 of them are the reason why I'm broke all the time. lol
All outstanding players but leaving out Shawn Tubbs is just wrong. 0.o
What do you think about “ that pedal show”?.. but I agree on the two best for demos... I also like Rebea Maso

That was an absolutely crazy lead in the intro track! I love this whole range of pedals, all three of them sound utterly incredible. 🤘
Thanks!!
I’m a simple man...Pete Thorn talks tone, I always listen
Quality over quantity Pete, and you certainly deliver the quality.
thanks!!!!
The tone with the 335 sounded killer! Great vid. Love how you compose a mini song for each vid. Such creativity!
Great demo, Pete. But then again, you make everything sound awesome.
Welcome back!

i haven't hankered after a new guitar in a long time, but that Macmull with the P90s gets me every time
Great stuff. That metallic copper Suhr is amazing looking and sounding.

Hey thanks Marco!!! 🎸🎸🎸
Really great rhythm sound with the 335! Sort of Permanent Waves-era Alex Lifeson type of a thing.
DAMN Pete! That solo!! Everything I want to hear!
Jesus, this guy is so flipping good!
Came here as always for the incredible demo, stayed for the tasty licks!🤘🎸👍
Really? I visit for the fantastic licks, chops and shreds. The demo is just a bonus.
Ordered this right after I watched your video and was not disappointed! Thanks for all your amazing work!
Loving the STP vibe of the demo track dude. Killer as always.

I know, I'm late to this game, you are so right about the Stratocaster sound "enhanced",this and you sold me on this pedal. Thank you!
Great demo, love this pedal because it cuts through mix.
Thanks for selling me on the G2. Oh, there is a Canada Day special edition pedals right now ... red/white and maple leafed :D
As always excellent demo really like the clean strat tone and the lead solo tone.a must on any board

I agree Andy and Pete are the best. Would also like to add Brett Kingman. He does fantastic reviews!
The tone and stellar playing 🤟🏽
Inspiring playing as always. Cool pedal!
Wow Pete… great opening song
great demo - really highlights the tonalities of this pedal
maybe your tastiest solo in a demo. awesomely video!
What a gorgeous sounding pedal, so versatile. Merci mon ami
You always up overdrive demos that I want, thanks!!!!!
Pete's got some P90s!! Probably had that guitar awhile, but I just now noticed. :)
Brilliant pedal pete bright and punchy with your different guitar..
Awesome as always Pete! Thanks!
What a player!!!! Pete's on fire!
You still got it Pete!

Just heard this, great solo Pete!
Welcome back! Great video and great pedal.
Gelato! “Think I’ll go light...Oreo and Snickers please!”
Awesome pedal and review bro, Thank you much! 🎸🎸👍
Dude you rock, hope to see you at NAMM
What a great review, Pete!
He's Back!!
Wow, best demo! I want one now...
Killer solo!!!
What is that awesome tele clone? Looks cool as heck and sounds good too.
Great demo, Pete. If I may, what would you say were your top 5 favorite pedals that you've demoed? Perhaps a fun video for us fans?
Oh i'd have to really think! so many vids!
Gonna need some brew with those tasty chops, Pete.
very cool =) thanks bro
Totally crazy question, who else sees that Ralph Lauren commercial in their TH-cam feed? What is that sultry sounding song?!?! Really cool groove!!
Otherwise, Pete...you're just gonna have to listen to it and transcribe that progression for us! 😁
Great stuff Pete!
Awesome demo!! I really love that brighter OD sound. Thanks, Pete!
Great demo! I'd love to see you demo the Revv D20 amp.
Great video, as always
Nice sound 😉
What DAW are you using? Track sounds great PT....
Great review!
Just now noticing the Pana-Vice. Lol!
Their gear is fidelity oriented. Top of the line and your playing as always too. Is the EQ an active eq?

Breathtaking intro Pete. Is this a Screamer green overdrive? Should I bin my Rhino /Sd1?
Nah it's it's own thing!
Any reason to get this over a Maxon OD808 to boost an EVH 5153?
Do you find yourself playing the ssme or different trying to anticipate the sound being heavy or clean when your messing with the pedal on loop?
I wouldn't buy a rootbeer colored axe myself, but damn that suhr is fucking beautiful. does anyone know his signal path, or at least what piece of I/O he uses to connect to the computer?
UA Apollo 8P or Apollo Twin

Hi Pete! What would be your recommend overdrive to push my suhr riot reloaded? Cheers!
Nice. What’s the black LP-style guitar?
It’s a Gil Yaron

*music is* not offs I meant
each little song is written for each piece of gear, on the spot
Outstanding. That's what I imagined. Officially changing your name to peerless pete.
Aww
Great video, as always! You used it as an overdrive in front of a clean amp or dirty amp. What is is worth as a preamp? Thanks!
I don't think it's a real preamp, ie, meant to go into a power amp or EFX return.
Anyone know that bass? Incredible looking
Warwick Streamer. I LOVE my bass
So is this my mommy’s green overdrive?
Sure, if that’s what you want it to be
the greatest tube screamer Ibanez never did, I guess
What was that Suhr with the real tremolo?
It's a Modern....
You should case those guit-tars and come over to my house.
Nice haircut.
Pedal sounds great into a clean amp, which is an overdrive sound I don't usually enjoy.
Thanks!
Is that your signature with a floyd? 😍😍😍
No It's a Modern, had it since 08! :)

Not a fan of the blue mode. Has a strange high end thing. The red was great.
Might be better than my Barber.
Ryan Reynolds!!!!
Wow!!! not the pedal, your playing!
But are you Benny Hill funny?🤔🎩☠️
Another 300$ no 2 somthin but still.
I must say, the scrolling text, with a frame rate of only 24, is really nauseating.
Interesting. So u want me to try 60?
And ONCE AGAIN a company rips off the Ibanez tube screamer 🤬
