I am not an ELA person, I'm more of a Math person but seeing IEW I want to do it myself. I want my kids to like ELA as well as Math. My oldest used Fix It Grammer, it went well. We also tried S&S, she didn't take to that very much. I really want to try the theme based and spelling for her though.
I'd get one of the themed books. I already have Structure and Style. It's such a thorough approach to writing. I wouldn't mind giving Phonectic Zoo a try either.

I have been subscribed to your TH-cam and love your content. I an a lot like you and are reluctant to try IEW. I currently have a second grader and think next year I'll look into the free lesson to see how I like it. I'd love to get the GC so I can actually try it for a year. My son dislikes all LA so it would be nice to give it time to see if it would be good for him. Thanks for your videos and your inspiration.
@@Blessedwithmightyarrows awww thank you 💕 I think it’s definitely worth trying. IEW has a podcast and I know there are some of Andrew Pudewa’s convention talks posted online. It might be helpful to watch some to see if what he says checks all your boxes too.
We have used IEW for elementary and also for structure and style level A. It has definitely helped my reluctant writer a ton. We've never used the other IEW Writing materials so this was helpful. What else do you use for LA?
