I'm looking forward to the new Car! Also, Have you thought about a pedal box cam for your track sessions? It could be pretty cool. It also made me thing of Senna's legendary NSX-R lap at Suzuka.
Get a vr for your sim, I don’t have a wheel or rig but I use vr and a controller and that alone makes a difference so I’d highly recommend you pair a vr headset with your rig
What size are those turbo stud, are they the same as fk8
Man I just ordered this turbo and during install noticed the oil filter feed with o-ring. Is that needed for the type r I didn't see it removing the oil lines from the original.

With bigger turbo comes more power and a unfortunate higher heat levels. Do you have any plans to wrap the turbo or isolate the heat in anyway?? Can't wait to see the end product though!!!

P700 hits peak boost 1000rpm later than the p600. Back pressure will be an issue when revving the car out because the hotside a/r is too small.
That p700 is going to give the FK8 Civic Type-R a substantial power increase. I assume you are going to be getting the new Toyota GR Corolla upon its North American release?

please prime the turbo before you turn it over, every turbo swap ive watched i have never seen it done, maybe a cruicial part thats missed which causes turbo failure🤙🏽just making sure cause i wanna see this one rock!

Uhhhh that’s not a blow off valve on the turbo, that’s the waste gate actuator for the internal waste gate😂
The p700 hotside is the same as the p600 which chokes around 7k
They machined the p600s to fit larger wheels and opened up the wg port to control boost and lower backpressure but the hotside is just not big enough.
I made 547whp with my p600 on 33psi e50 - you should be able to make similar power but will be slightly laggier vs the old lighter p600 wheels. Once spooled the bigger wheels should make more power apples to apples but have a narrower powerband vs the older p600 setup.
My RV6 R660 is able to rev higher and not create the backpressure the smaller hotsides do - RV6 has the largest hotside which allows more top end power and wider powerband/higher rev range 566whp@7600 - turbo should maintain. power 8k+ on valevetrain.
Fuel will be a big issue trying to feed the car at high rpm as well.
I’ve honestly stayed away from the PRL stuff cause all the bad rep the p600 got, and to an extent the p700. The RV6 and MH2 have really been the go to for turbos on the fk8. Outside the turbo I think prl makes good stuff. however, even their fuel upgrade kit had issues with their fuel lines
This information is inaccurate. Though the P700's hot-side A/R is the same as the P600, the wastegate bore was increased 10% to reduce backpressure and improve boost control, thus alleviating back pressure. Also, the P700's larger, high-efficiency compressor wheel drastically reduces turbocharger shaft speeds while also offering increased airflow. Neither of these hinder turbocharger spool/response time. This is how we were able to make about make more power with less boost than the P600, and push it to 640 horsepower. The P700's power-band is actually fatter than any turbocharger on the market, including the superseded P600.
