You are one of these hidden gems of youtube ;) the one showing the real work and not selling products.. I dnt know how but youtube made you on my feed ;)
Thank you for your kind words, truly means a ton to me! I'm a terrible sales person hahaha so no selling here ever hahaha. I just gave you a sub, your work looks fantastic, so glad to connect!
Means a lot Will thank you so much! Lighting was tricky. I went out 3x ahead of the shoot to map the sun and blocking. I wanted to use a 12x12 with an M18 but it was too much to get on the beach. I did some research on No Country for Old Men and saw that they didn't use any diffusion or lighting on their day exteriors. This became the prime example for me. So with that I used sun seeker to track the suns course, then brought a camera out and took test shots to make sure I could match the shots. I treated the sun as my natural M18. I shot out one side in the morning from 10:00 pm to 12:00, waited till the sun hit the other side around 3:00-4:00 and shot out the reverse side. I used a 4x4 bead board for fill light to catch their faces under their hats. I did have some negative fill but the shadow would've become too much so I didn't use it.

@@storylitfilms Ah I see, that's very clever. It was definitely giving me no country for old men vibes. Thanks for the in-depth response!
