She is a Sekiro boss thrown into a game where the player only has Souls mechanics. So she abused things in Sekiro that had fair counters, but in this game they no longer do. Simply put, she cheats and is definitively unfair by design

I have a no damage on a few of the harder sekiro bosses. None of them are on this level though. Elden Ring is truly cheap and requires perfection to keep you from staring at a loading screen even 40 seconds.
Actual god. This is more impressive than ongbal for me. He sneaks in some upgraded equipment and learning the frame timing for parries is extremely hard, but consistent. Dodging around like this has so many more variables that I think this is the hardest clear i’ve seen. You have mastered the boss.

I returned to the game after setting it aside a year ago with the main story about 60% along. I haven't even reached the second phase but I'm determined to beat her before I finish the main story. It's such a beautifully designed and choreographed boss fight. Seeing how you navigate the water fowl dance was very helpful. Your level of consistency is amazing and gives me hope of winning this.

I died to her 237 times. Didn't want anything about the fight spoilered and damn did I pay for it. This is on another level, how skillfull and graciously every single attack gets dodged, mesmerizing. Hats off and respect for the dedication and slight insanity to even attempt this.
You know the boss is a good design if it makes ppl seethe and cry. If they say something like "difficult but fair" it just means the boss is very easy. Malenia is an amazing boss

This is just an incredible feat. I needed Godrick Rune, +10 halo scythe, max buffs, SL150, +10 mimic, and even then died probably 15+ times, all of course on first play through...
Finally someone with balls and has no tiny shield on their arm to do funny parry CRIT So what's interesting about this is the fact ur doing what she is doing, being light, mobile, and fast, makes me think i can try to use clayman's spear with scholars armament and try to copy ur technique (since i have a spell blade build)

how long have you practiced this, i'm on my first play through, level 99 using dual +18 bandits blood curved sword with seppuku and am in the haligtree just after beating the knight , whenever i get to her i will try it without my mimic tear but it will still take 100+ tries
Imagine Malenia's thoughts when she died: as the blade of Miquella, she has never known defeat, survived an epic battle with Radahn, and then one random day a level 1 tarnished comes into her resting place and bullies her to death, and she couldn't even land a single hit on her enemy. If this doesn't make anyone feel pity, I don't know what can.
I can dance around her whole phase 1 move set except waterfowl dance. I know it’s 90% a feel thing but it’s damn hard for me to consistently dodge it, especially up close. How long did it take you to get this consistent or was this just the run where they all managed to work out?
I managed to do it with no bleed and stuff, but I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to dodge that attack without Bloodhound's. I actually didn't even watch a video, I was looking through my ash of wars, saw it, tried it out and it worked for me. But damn, This? THIS? with the buff to light rolls you can avoid the first flurry up close by just spamming light roll four times away from her.
