      @keithk7451 it's improper grammar to say "you done" ... "you did" is proper English.

      @@ChristyJohnsonDanceMaster well that’s just the way we say things in the south, may not be proper, but it’s the way things are said. I never comment to cut anyone down, only to build them up. Actuator or Blender door. Its the same on all vehicles pretty much. Some guys swear is the heater core but 99.9 percent of the time the heater core or ac charge is not the cause of drivers side and pass side significant temp difference. If one side is holding suitable temp parameter on low fan and doesnt drop significantly when on high fan your coolant charge or heater core flow is not issue. And just because actuator moves does not mean it is in correct position or sealing when closed. I some cases the actuator moves but the little shaft inside your box is broken. It is very common on late model vehicles and It sucks. If you dont have atleast a weekend or potentionally more to spare depending on parts availability or $500 to $1800 to take that bad boy and trade it in!! Sometimes you can get lucky and find a local vocational or technical that will do it for cost of parts and minimal labor charge or donation. I grew up working weekends in my grandfathers shop untill he passed away a few years ago. I do underground pipe so if biz is super busy and I cant find the time to work on my own vehicle I show up with a few pizzas from a really good place and sodas for the class and voila an availability opens for later that week. 😆

    I figured that would be the case. My AC is blowing hot drivers side cold passengers side on my 2006 Avalon Limited. I need it fixed as my mom refuses to drive the car until it’s fixed and it’s 95 here in North Carolina!

  • @sabyanilu
    @sabyanilu 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    If its not actuator fault then definitely its due to less freon gas. Secret tip to check if gas is low; when u start the AC if both side vent gives chilling air for atleast 4-5 sec then cooling decreases at affected side. This is also applicable on split ACs inside houses

    Before you go taking your dashboard apart. Do this. If you car had separate climate control. The side blowing warm to hot air. Stroke or run up the temperatures settings hot to Col hot to cold. I’f it changes your blend door actuator is not bad. Check your climate control set point relay. If the blend door temp changes it’s not bad set point is relay is also it’s not as difficult to check out or change. If the blend door actuator is bad. You would not be able to swing the range of temperature. Also it would be making a ticking noise or a thump. If neither of those are happening or yoUr temperature doesn’t change as you run the thermostat through different ranges.. then absolutely your actuator is bad . Or if it’s just allowed hot air

    Can you help me with this?? My mechanic tried to get my ac going. We replaced door actuators and the condenser. That didn't work. Would this impact the heat?? It's not as strong on the driver's side as before.

      Heating is different from ac. As long you have coolant then you have heat. If not hot enough it mean that your coolant is low or heater core is clogged up.

    I have a similar problem with my car, I also observed that my ac compressor doesn't tunr off. It's always running unlike before wherein i can here it clicking automatically. Is it also because im low on freon?

    Sir I have a Toyota Camry 2009 and its the same problem but like it doesn't have two cooling regulators like passenger is different and driver is different.
    But the problem is exact same I have hot on driver side and cold on passenger side
    So I just need to put artic freeze in the low one right ?

    This is not correct. Too little freon will NOT cause one side to be colder than the other. This is actuator blend door issues

      Apparently I've read this can happen. Weird. Apologies

    I have a 2010 Toyota Camry without dual climate control. Hot air on driver side, cold air on passenger side. actuators appear to be turning and working as they should. Add Freon?

    • @alltsab
