Did this on spur of the moment tonight. Made a steak dinner for my wife. Only two potatos and three people to feed. So I did this. It turned out amazingly well. Thank you. I was thinking about getting some store bought frozen fries and throwing them in the oven. This exceeded all expectations and my wife loves them. She’s still snacking on them sitting next to me. Try this recipe: Peel the potatotes (Ruesst work best) and cut them into whatever size you want. Drop them into boiling water with a pinch of salt and some white vinegar and cook them through. Get a baking pan and lay the fries on them leaving a bit of space between each fry and then drizzling some oil on them. Put them in the oven at 450F for 15-20 minutes and flip. After that, check after 7-10 minutes and see if they're done. It usually takes me 10-15 minutes on the other sid to finish cooking. Salt immediately and then add whatever seasoning you want.
I somehow found this video the other night, and tried these tonight. I'm not a huge spice fan, so I just used olive oil and sea salt. I think I could have cooked them just a bit longer as they weren't as crispy as yours, but the flavor was excellent. I'll definitely try this one again! Thank you for sharing this!

Good video. When I put the potatoes in the water, I add 1/2 ts of tumeric. It gives them an interesting coloration and a tiny bit of the tumeric flavor.
Just a tip to maybe edit your video to the beginning to tell your viewers to preheat the oven beforehand 30 minutes at least before you put them in. So by the time I actually had them ready, the oven wasn't even on yet and then all the olive oil and seasoning drains off the fries into the bottom of the bowl. I'll see how they turn out but probably would be nice to know that ahead of time so that while you're chopping, preparing, soaking etc the oven will be ready!
Why the fuck aren't you more famous ? I'm french but half of my family is spanish and I spent my whole childhood in Murcia, and I was looking fort an authentic tortilla recipe last week, I found your channel and now I can eat all my favorite childhood meals thanks to you. Love it, new subscriber

My oven doesn’t broil, will the fries still be crispy?
Yes....just keep them in the oven for a couple extra minutes and turn the fries around after 20 minutes :) much love

I make all my fries in the oven and they always come out crunchy and healthier!
Cook: let's add paprika and garlic powder
My brain: so he has chosen ultimate beast mode.
These are my new fav snack ty 💕
