I never understood the Sens because they got a talented and skilled young core there with Tkachuk, Stutzle, Sanderson etc.. so I just don't get how come they can't even make the playoffs year in and year out. Well now that they got a new coach in Green and a much better goalie in Ullmark, I really hope they do well because they along with the Canadiens are the other teams I cheer for other than the Canucks. So let's go Sens!
The answer was in the question about surrounding a young core with vets. Guys who work hard every single game and don't get as easily distracted by media and fan noise and teach young guys how to be pros.
He can't be worse than DJ right? Plus the addition of Yeo to the staff should be a big help. This team needs a good camp to get off to a good start, DJ's camps were more like a coubtry club apprently.. Horrible november records have plagued this team for years now, hopefully this new staff can fix that.
Green's first question about what they need to do immediately, and his non-answer, is not encouraging. It's like he's either not sure where to begin, or has not taken the time to analyze what needs to be done. Either way it's not encouraging when viewed with his record as head coach. I get the sense he was hired to fill an empty spot, nothing more.
I cannot believe the Senators hired this man. A proven loser who was/is a contender for the Wllie Desjardins award for worst coach in Canuclks history.
It was Green's first head coaching job. Coaches take time to learn how to survive in the NHL just as much as new players do. It took Rick Tocchet three coaching tries to find a team that he could finally gel with and help succeed.

@@leovaillancourt5683 Cannot be much worse
Usually worst save percentage in the league

He looks like a fired coach already

Travis Green, good BC Boy! Vancouver was in transition when Green took over and Benning made a lot of bad moves. Give Greener a chance!
How about we let him implement his plan and coach a couple games behind the bench before expecting answers on what needs fixing!?

If Stan bowman can find a new job so can Travis Green lol

Isn't everyone a "proven loser" until they win something in the league? What an idiotic comment.
John Tortorella might be a good coach but he was pretty bad in Vancouver too.
Green is such a winner NOT 😂
Horrible coach with the media
