My call was forwarded until I ended up with, Marian Tompson herself. She had info my doctor was completely uneducated on. I was encouraged and empowered by this beautiful, passionate and experienced woman, and kept going, (My doctor had already labeled me as adamant🙂🙂) My daughter's jaundice cleared quite naturally, and we experienced a healthy, rich and unbroken breastfeeding relationship which I am sure laid the ground work for nursing the following three babies, believe it or not, into my 50's. This woman should be honored for her great wisdom and service. I'm going to go write her a letter of thanks. Grateful for your coverage of this story.

In 1992 my first child, days old, was a jaundiced newborn. It may have even been a weekend, and I contacted my local La Leche League as my doctor was encouraging me to stop breastfeeding. My call was forwarded until I ended up with, Marian Tompson herself. She had info my doctor was completely uneducated on. I was encouraged and empowered by this beautiful, passionate and experienced woman, and kept going, (My doctor had already labeled me as adamant🙂🙂) My daughter's jaundice cleared quite naturally, and we experienced a healthy, rich and unbroken breastfeeding relationship which I am sure laid the ground work for nursing the following three babies, believe it or not, into my 50's. This woman should be honored for her great wisdom and service. I'm going to go write her a letter of thanks. Grateful for your coverage of this story.
