The folks that made this film should give us there take on Ruby Ridge.
This high level of emotional manipulation is how cult leaders are formed. It's like there is a fine line with charismatic people who are always kind and seemingly want the best for people(but on their own terms). They've learned the human mind and emotions so well they can sweet talk some folk into anything. It's a gentle wearing down of one's individual thought until it's replaced the leaders thoughts and commands. They trust the leader more than themselves.
You're talking about every "spiritual leader". Maybe even in your favorite church. Some of them became millionaires by deceiving gullible people.
But all you know about this particular story is the FBI version. Those whose incredibly stupid action against a group that existed for decades living in isolation, bothering no one, caused the tragedy.
I suggest that you listen to the version of those who were actually INSIDE the building that was inexplicably attacked, when all you had to do was knock on the door and be invited to enter.
The moment David opened the door asking the police to calm down because there were children inside, he was hit. All dogs were killed. A woman who emerged with a baby in her arms at a back door was killed by a gunman. They fired hundreds os bullets at the second floor, where the children were! You don't know any of that.
About the agent who asked how many fire extinguishers they had and jokingly suggested they get good fire insurance.

Jim Jones literally KILLED everyone 900+ people and most of them we're forced with guns in their heads. Koresh said if you wanna leave leave. If you wanna believe in my insane believes stay. He was indeed a bad guy. But the government killed the most of them. You can just arrest Koresh and it's a end of the story. No! FBI just decided to KILL everyone
