- I have only had the new Bentley Continental GT for a few weeks but I have already managed to rack up over 1000 miles in Bentley's latest GT, so I thought it appropriate to share with you my early experiences living with the new Bentley Continental GT before heading to the TRACK of all places to truly discover the dynamics of this majestic car.
The new Bentley Continental GT has a 6.0L twin turbo charged W12 developing 630hp and 900nm of torque - but while the engine and the styling are gorgeous and impressive, in this video we find out just how sophisticated the handling of the new Continental GT really is by taking it on the Goodwood racing circuit!

I was fortunate enough to own an older (2008) flying spur. That was the most impressive,competent vehicle I've ever owned,or been associated with, and in the 26 years I was in the motor trade I drove quite a few.

Awesome Video bro! I just bought one! Traded in my Rolls Royce Wraith for one. And I LOVE it! Just back from Road Trip Round SCOTLAND (1,500 miles), AMAZING! Super luxury but also brings a massive grin when you want to push on and have some fun! Probably the best car I've ever owned! Always looking for an excuse to go for a drive!

What a gentle beast of a machine. Definitely matches your style and personality. Not that an 812 wouldn’t also, mind you, but definitely seeing the CGT in a different light. Those turbos whistling away...crazy stuff!
The Bling Spot Monitoring system is similar to what I have on the SQ5, the flashing usually only happens when you steer or try to make a lane change when there's a car in your blind spot, otherwise it just stays as a solid yellow light if you're staying in your lane and someone is in your blind spot. If it's flashing every time a car passes by then there might be an issue with the system. Great video!

the improvement you have shown from your early videos is both immense - early on you were like the other "wannabe's" ( insert here those names of TH-camrs who shriek with glee at exhaust noises, those TH-camrs who are attempting to overcome various degrees of unfortunate speech impediments, those TH-camrs born with a silver spoon, and those TH-camrs who just don't get it ) and now you tell it like you see it ( insert here names like Chris Harris, Henry Catchpole, Steve Sutcliff, and a few more ). While you may not yet be quite the race drivers as the latter group you are improving at a far more rapid rate than, for example, I probably ever could. Your videos are clear and concise and for the vast majority very pleasant to watch. I. as a long time subscriber, thank you and look forward to the future.
Its a shame the rears seats arn't generous enough. Was the previous version any better? I wonder if Bently would consider doing a version with a slightly longer wheelbase to make it a proper grand tourer? Who knows, it may steal sales from the 8 series BMW.

Take it north! When you did the series with Michelin and drove a couple Aston Martins where they filmed Skyfall. Or to the Isle of Man.
I have an 18 month old and have the same issues with rear facing versus front facing. I ended up not trading in my 981 Spyder for a Macan (I'm still devastated! ;-) ) as it (Macan) has the same issues as you describe here. The reality is that for the first 12-18 months with a rear facing capsule you need a car with proper rear seat room. And that means a full length car. Now at 18 months front facing ia not always the yee-ha problem solved situation either. As in a front facing seat until their legs are long enough to bend over the edge of the seat they stick out straight and cause a similar issue/kick the back of the front seat.
And I don't want a huge car like a Cayenne. The Panamera I think would be the perfect family car for the young family car enthusiast. It has the length and the storage and the non SUV handling.
I've come to the conclusion that along with heaps of stuff to carry, a mum that wants to sit in the back with baby that make mess, my 2001 Citroen C5 is going to suffice until we are out of booster chairs. If I had to buy a new car now, unfortunately it won't be a Macan (too small) or a Panamerra (too expensive), the Audi R/S5 sportback or R/S/A6 sedan or Wagon seem to be the size that you need in the price range of can handle some vomiting child in it.

sam smith His voice was always like that because I believe he just uses the mic of the camera he’s using as he says it epitomizes the feel of like when we are side to side with him in real life. I did comment before that it would be way better to have invested in a mic.

Seriously, this car has it all and has been one of my dream cars for a long time. I'd like to know how it compares to some contemporary GT cars on a track. Say, compared to some other British or German GT cars?
I love the GT (Is the rear view mirror any use as it looks like a very small back window?) do you think this type of car has any future in this world of lowering emissions? How are they going to change?
The market seems to be moving towards smaller, heavily turbocharged engines with a hybrid system. Not sure that's what bently will do though.
It'll be sad to see large engine go away, but they might make a comeback once we get passed some of hydrogens issues and start replacing batteries with Hydrogen ICE's.

Oh, we can hear the turbos whistle. It's a bit like the Hyuareeeya! in that sense. It's not a beautiful sound, but you can't help but be emotionally enveloped by the beast.

An anti-roll system has never been mentioned more in the history of its existence than it has now in the Mr JWW channel.

It's like a road yacht. It's the best luxury GT out there by a cross country mile.
Rolls Royce and Aston Martin are on notice.
ғɪʟʟ 1ɴ ᴛ҉ ʜ3 ʙʟᴀɴᴋs the Rolls Royce wraith is the best luxury GT thus far, trust me I’ve been in bother and a Bentley is nice and makes a nice sound but the are very British (they break easily) and are to much money for what they are and they depreciate so much so quickly. Aston’s have unfortunately gone they same way in my opinion they don’t break as easy but they are not what they were and for they money you’re better of getting a Ferrari (old or new), where as RR have true luxury and seriously over a trip across the US or Europe the RR is better, and if you want speed they have enough, and if you’re going to say it’s not as sporty fair enough but it’s not in the class of Super GT’s so it has to be compared to what is in its class and to say the least it’s a all rounder from birth which means compromise from birth unlike a RR or anything Italian.
And the best GT in the world apart from some old Ferrari’s and new RR’s it would be a Bugatti.

No comment on your spec it's personal. Needs more HP like 800, 700+ at least. A 3 sec 0-100 km time probably coming in a SuperSport config. Should have improved tech like sideview and rearview cameras with rear wheel steering. Those additions would make it the undisputed king of the GT class.
Sorry to hear the rear seat isn't suitable for more people in that Bentley. It does look amazing though.
