Have a 2015 peace sport scooter that I didn’t start since Covid. Still had fuel in it. Your video helped me get it running by myself. Just needed new battery, oil, siphoned the gas out, cleaned air filter and is cruising. Thanks for the great video
run a motor without oil the rings on the pistons will make it smoke wont it? valve guide are bad will make it smoke ? just my opinion DAN, good job getting it running.
These little GY6 engines have really unique oil routing systems on them on the internals so yes when the valve seats go bad they will smoke and I do not disagree with you that so well they worn out piston ring but I think there's a combination of things going on here.
The reason I say it's 90% valve related is because when I do a compression test this engine has solid compression almost within tolerance of being for PSI off the original output of the engine. When I turn the engine over by hand I can hear the leak by happen at the valves not the Piston head. I'm a pretty diligent person when it comes to figuring out what these issues are and I've been working with these engines since the early 2000s I have a pretty good idea of what's going on here

Called my best friend, found out you gotta put oil in that fucker 😂 Had just enough money on me to buy exactly the amount my bike needed and I was at a gas station so it was miraculously fine. If I'd ignored it and kept going I'm guessing that would've been bad 😅
If you can afford a used Japanese product on the Facebook marketplace I would suggest doing that it will be a 1000 times more reliable than a new Chinese scooter. Look up Honda reflex you can buy A 250CC maxi class Honda Reflex for like 2 grand or less
When they're new and they don't have many miles on them this is an acceptable feeler gauge setting however once they get some use on them It's better to move to a .004 .005

What about putting a bit of oil in the cylinder first, before you turn it over.

I thought 50cc scooters were adjusted to .003 intake and .004 exhaust
