    Real Englishman. Excellent video. With no music, absolutely astonishing.

      Awww. Thank you vaxy1965. That's very kind. Haha. Luke Rides is very British. Hehe. Luke Rides loves making workshop videos. The Yaris was lovely to work on. None of the fixings wanted to cross thread. Once you know what to do it's fairly straight forward to replace the number plate light bulbs. Toyota engineering. Everything is so well put together. To think this was back in the early 2000s. Haha. Yet Toyota were building good quality cars all the way back then. Pretty cool. Toyota do know how to engineer their cars and trucks. That's a good point vaxy1965. Music in a workshop video has it's place. When using too much of it can be pretty distracting. Luke Rides wanted to get every little detail to give everyone the confidence to do this on their own Yaris. Thank you for such an amazing comment. Hopefully we will speak again. Take care :)

      Yay :). Thank you Harry Mogaji. That's great to hear and I'm glad you loved the workshop video :). Thank you for such an awesome comment :). It sure was such a pleasure to work on the Legendary and junior hot hatch that is Toyota Yaris T Sport. At first, the number plate light holders were a little fiddly to pull out of the bumper but I can understand why as you want the number plate light holders to be nice and secure in the bumper. So I understand why Toyota designed the number plate holders in that way but at least they were accessible as well from the outside which was pretty helpful. Toyota really did put in the effort to build the Yaris T Sport model and they did such a great job :). Being a Toyota their actually pretty nice to work on. You wouldn't find clips breaking easily nor bolts and screws being horrible to come out as well as to put back in :). Toyota is very much such a reliable brand and you can see why when working on one :). I'm glad I could help Harry Mogaji and you stay safe out there with everything that's happening out there with the virus. In my country, Britain we are still under complete and utter lockDown! for 8 weeks now :(. When you think about it that's 2 months! 2 months of the year none of us will get back. Not being able to ride my Kawasaki Superbike is breaking my heart. It's killing me inside. Sooner this virus dies the better. I know we will all get through this virus. It's just a question of when. The when feels like a long way away :(. All thanks to China :(. It's pretty mind-blowing to think a virus on the other side of the planet can travel thousands of miles to then infect another country nowadays. Because of our modern way of life. It's scary really. Let's hope China learns from this experience and the world learns how to deal with an infection like a lot better to stop it from spreading. You stay safe out there Harry and hopefully, we will speak again. It's great talking to you and thank you for such a nice comment Harry :). Take care

    Tanks the vid made the job easy, and me confident. I had to remove the number plate ånd holder fo get the bulb socket holder /reflector out. (2003 Yaris, ) one holder only on mne.

      Haha. Thank you. Luke Rides really appreciates that. Thank you for such a kind comment. Luke Rides is really glad to have been able to help. And Luke Rides workshop video was so helpful MrVidar0. To help you make progress and get to grips with the bulb socket holder. Luke Rides always loves to make down to earth workshop videos. Luke Rides is not a big or famous motovlogger. Luke Rides has seen big motovloggers who let the fame and 100,000 of subscribers get to them. Where they don't even reply back to their comments.
      Luke Rides always wants to reply back. Always from Luke Rides himself. Toyota built just a outstanding car. Toyota do use a lot of plastics. But the build quality and engineering that goes into their vehicles is very high. Toyota's just go on and on. Known for racking up the miles and being very reliable. Hehe. Thanks to the Japanese. Toyota have only improved the design. Even Luke Rides found after having a play and getting used to the hot hatch Toyota Yaris T Sport that even replacing the bulb for number plate is very easy. Yet unlike some cars where their number plate holder might break from being cheap plastic and the years of life getting to them. The Toyota Yaris T Sport number plate holder still felt really good. Felt strong. Even those she was built in the early 2000s. Very cool.
      Luke Rides understands either being UK model or being the Toyota Yaris T Sport means your reflector may be designed by Toyota slightly differently. For the epic Toyota Yaris T Sport she was never fitted with just one number plate light holder. Because of the Toyota T Sport aggressive fast styling and rear bumper. Hehe. Luke Rides is so glad you got there. Amazing. Thank you for such a kind comment. Hopefully we will speak again. Take care ;)

    Awesome. Helpful for new Toyota Aygo / Peugeot 108 / Citroen C1.
    My first time to DIY on the car
    Great advise on colour light bulbs to pass MOT.
    Thanks

      Awww. Thank you JohnSmith-ds9bg. Glad Luke Rides video was really helpful. It's a pleasure. Luke Rides always loves making down to earth workshop videos. Keeping it real. That's so cool this could help with Toyota Aygo / Peugeot 108 / Citroen C1. That's awesome. Taking the covers off the Toyota Yaris was a pleasure. Nothing cross threaded. And it was fairly simple. Toyota engineering. So well built. Toyota did a great job. That's a good point. Colour of the light bulbs are important or else the MOT tester will get you on that one and not pass the car during an MOT. One of the things when boy racers change the light bulbs on their headlights or number plate lights then wonder why they don't pass an MOT. Haha. Thank you for such a kind comment. Hopefully we will speak again. Take care :)

      Awwww. Thank you ashaneread1286. Glad Luke Rides workshop kind of video was a big help. It's nice that Toyota made removing the bulb holder fairly straight forward and then removing the bulb too. Some brands are much more complicated. Toyota did such a nice job. And Japanese engineering. Taking the bulb holder out and refitting was nice and went well. Anything came apart nicely and none of the fixings cross threaded. The Yaris was a pleasure to work on. Very nice. Thank you for such a nice comment. Hopefully we will speak again. Take care :)

    Is it the same process for a 2008 Toyota Yaris sedan

    • @luke_rides
      @luke_rides  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's a great question there Ivan :). Thank you so much for commenting on Luke Rides's Workshop Video :). I have good news for you because the answer is Yes :). I kid you not Ivan. It is the same process, tooling, as well as the same steps for the Sedan as in my Workshop Video for the Toyota Yaris Hatchback. As the Sedan Version of the Toyota Yaris is using the same Number Plate Light Bulb Holder and unit just like Luke Rides's Toyota Yaris. That should really help.
      This is definitely a job you must take your time with and please don't rush. As you will working next to your paintwork and working the Number Plate Light Holder if your flat tool slips as your working that could definitely cause damage to your Toyota Yaris Sedan as well as a Toyota Yaris Hatchback. Toyota have always been an incredible brand when it comes to quality and all round reliably. But even quality a Number Plate Light Holder and even Quality paintwork they can be damaged if your not careful. Once that damage is caused it an absolute pain in order to fix let alone Expensive! Take your time.
      I hope that helps Ivan. I'm glad you really liked Luke Rides's Workshop Video on the Toyota Yaris. I hope your staying safe out there with everything that is happening out there with the Coronavirus. I do get the feeling that as this rate all 2020 is going to be remembered as the year of the Coronavirus. Crazy to think that when most things we have nowadays in the world is made in China. China gave the world the darn Coronavirus :(. I hope China learns from this. And so does the rest of the world. In my country, Britain we are less than a week away before Face Masks will be become mandatory. Literally the Law to wear Face Masks when going into lets say a Supermarket. Bloody hell. I know we will all kill the darn virus. It's just a question of when. I hope it is sooner rather than later! You stay safe out there Ivan and thank you so much for commenting. And an interesting comment at that :). It's great talking to you Ivan and hopefully, we will speak again. Take care :)

I'm going to go stir crazy. I really miss being able to got out for a ride. Not being able to ride my Kawasaki Superbike is breaking my heart :(. We all will get through this virus. It's just a question of when. I understand why the government has had to do what it has had to do. If this is what it takes to kill this dam Virus then this is what it takes. You take care iNJECT and hopefully, we will speak again. It's great talking to you. Thank you for such as an awesome comment :).
