    $60,000 was invested. Less then 3,000 miles since restored 5 years ago. True Super Sport, 168 code.
    EXTERIOR: Professionally restored body, paint and trim. I'm standing next to it and it's gorgeous. Panels fit real nice. Look down either side, the black is like looking into a mirror. The silver metal flake is laid out evenly and everything has a glossy clear coat finish that's been polished. The two tone is broke up with red hand pinstripe. Jambs are painted and detailed. The cherry on the cake is the trim. It is all redone or replaced. Upfront the moldings, grill, bumper, bezels are like new. On each side it has new crossflag 396 emblems, SS emblems, bowtie mirrors and door handles. All the stainless trim around the windows is straight and polished. Vent windows are original and does have some pitting. In back the tail lights, trim, bumpers are all mint. Has bumper guards front and back. It rolls and a set of big chrome 17x10 inch Torque Thrust wheels with Nitto performance tires. New sill plates, weatherstrips and window seals. All the glass is clear, the windshield is new.
    INTERIOR: Very well restored inside. All new white upholstery, there must be new cushions in the seats because the upholstery fits so nice. Even the seat backs and chrome trim is replaced. Everything on the door panels are new- cranks, handles, armrests. Overhead the visors and headliner are excellent. The rear shelf area is extra clean. The dash area is also mint- big clear lense, clean gauges, knobs, vents, heater controls. It has a very rare Multiplex stereo system which is cool but it's the modern stereo that is hooked up. Has remote control and 6x9 speakers.
    ENGINE COMPARTMENT: 454-450 hp big block with a set of dual quads on top. Completely rebuilt. Aluminum Edelbrock intake has been painted orange, has two new Edelbrock carbs, custom fuel line and fittings and electric choke. Also upgraded with HEI ignition system and headers. Dressed up with some chrome valve covers, bracket, alternator, pulleys etc. The power steering and power brake units are chromed. New radiator, shroud, fan and polished overflow bottle. Wiper motor looks new, squirters are hooked up. Has original glass bottle for extra washer fluid. Has factory air conditioning system that looks complete. Bottom of the hood is painted as slick as the outside of the car. It is a nice looking compartment.

    My first car was a Sport Coupe with a 283 Powerglide. The tail lights were constantly out due to the cheap plug that somehow blew bulbs. This one is true to that tradition ... one tail light out.

    My high school buddy had a '67 327 Impala coupe black vinyl roof(?) over a gold body. A mutual friend of ours went with him in the Impala to see a Phillies game back in '75. Our friend persuaded the Impala's owner to invert the air cleaner lid so that on acceleration the resonating intake would sound 'cool'.
    Sadly, the Impala backfired on I-95 and caught fire. I vividly remember the controversy between my two friends that raged for a few years. Before the Impala was declared "totaled" by the insurance company it sat in front of the owner's parents house for a couple of days. The oil had been 'cooked' out of the shocks so if you put your foot on the bumper (I was given a demonstration) and gave it a good push downward the car would bounce up and down several times. That burned-out Impala, gorgeous in its day, was a sorry sight after the fire.

    Bach in the 60s when the Vehicles were boxy Gm designed this to be a streamlined Bodystyle....
    Beautiful interior , Engine Bay and trunk space...
    Back in the day in New York they'd say the trunk would hold a few bodies...lol

    I had the regular 1967 coupe. 283 V8 with a Powerglide transmission, Maderia Maroon with Black interior. It was a good cruiser.

    • @rafaelhuertas1953
      @rafaelhuertas1953 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You'd owned the original 283 V-8 and Powerglide trans. model; the basic combination around the sixty years. It was a nice sound while starting from 0 to 20. Also I liked when I heard the neutral for a while when it returned to first ; driving up through curved roads. (It was similar with the 307.)I still like that combination, but it could never be back ; never.

      Believe it or not that’s a car exactly what I passed my drivers test in. Oct. 1976 My friend and me played hooky and an older friend took his in the 67’ Chevy 4-door maroon with black interior. I had my learners permit just 2 weeks the State Police test in our state and he said you must’ve been driving longer than 2 weeks lol it was different in those days now I believe you have to wait 6 months on permit.

    I keep waiting for you to start the cars when the rear end is facing the camera. Does it ever happen? Nope! You just keep talking while the rear end comes and goes. Timing is everything and you suck at it. Vanguard Motor Sales does a way better job with their videos. They know how to present a car!

    • @VoloMuseumAutoSales
      @VoloMuseumAutoSales  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm assuming you are talking about wanting the rear end of the car facing the camera for the audio?....You do realize none of the audio in the video comes from the camera, all of our microphones & audio is from external recording equipment. There is the mic on Jay & one on the bumper which is indicated by a icon when the audio is coming from that one. Happy to accept criticism, can always improve but for our setup your complaint doesn't seem to apply.
