This beautiful Impala has been completely restored! The work was done about 17 years ago by a man in lower Michigan. The most recent owner purchased the car restored, from the man who did the work. He drove it as is for a few years. He bought the car with a 400ci small block in it and decided to replace the motor with the 454ci big block that it currently had. The car has been stored in a dry heated garage for the past 17 years, and has been very well maintained.

Mom and Dad bought a '67 SS with 327/250hp. Car was fully loaded with a/c, pw, ps, power seat (driver's side), vinyl top, fender skirts and am/fm/8 track player. Original buyer who ordered the car backed out - thinking my parents paid about $3,900 for it. I'll never forget the Lorne Greene - Ponderosa factory demo tape.
This year Impala is charging to the front of most wanted Chevy's. I wish we still had ours. WHAT GREAT LOOKS!!!
I've watched many if your videos on the cars and along with talking up the cars I really appreciate how you point out things that might need attention as well. My impala ss is so weird. Its a bucket seat with a console but a 3 speed on the column. The console is just blank. No shifter. Ive never seen another anss my grandad bought this one new. Anybody ever seen another shifter delete console i wanna know
Chevy may have required optional 4 on the floor, Powerglide or Turbo-Hydramatic for the transmission shifter to be operated from the console.

454 was not period correct for 67. The biggest engine offering was a 427.
To bad it is a fastback. We liked the Opera window way more !
Opera windows were not available on 67 Chevys.

Why are calling this an Impala? It is NOT AN IMPALE. In '67 Chevy had the Biscayne, the Impala, and the Chevrolet. The Chevrolet wasn't an Impala nor Biscayne.
They all came with the 427 Turbo-Jet, part of the 1100 produced that year.

Well we don't have the car anymore because it has been 9 years but you are correct the Biscayne, the Impala, and the CAPRICE(Not Chevrolet) were all basically the same car with different levels of trim. However, it is an Impala. You're right it doesn't have the impala trim anymore on the outside but It does have the Impala tail lights the, Impala door panels, and it was titled as one..
Too bad it's not a ss nice car though
